Churnin' up the water at Lake Hartwell yesterday
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y90.../IMGP05992.jpg Did somethin' I haven't done B4...got a storage shed at the lake to keep 'er in for the summer...avoid the dreaded 1.5 hr tow down the Intersate :P ... |
Re: Churnin'

Pretty big, Slinger...nearly 1,000 miles of shoreline, 190' deep out in front of the dam ... and LOTS of baitfish ... perfect striper habitat ... ;) ... Phes...this wasn't a fishin' trip...preparation for many to come ;) ... |
Re: Churnin'
Water must be alot warmer down there REEL. I thinks its still cold up here, but my friends are diving today anyway out of Jersey. Blue balls for a week. :-[

Re: Churnin'
Good to see you out on the water, did the cool front make it down there? It was low 70's here yesterday.
I rented me a covered space for my V @ the coast as well, save dragging it 4 hrs each time, plus each time I obtain another item for it, I have a great excuse to go to the coast. ;) |
Re: Churnin'
Nice Reel!!
Hammer its coming are way!! water still in the 40's but it won't be long now!! |
Re: Churnin'

Re: Churnin'
Are you talking about a storage shed ashore, or is it one of those sheds over a slip? Either way, you'll love not having to make that tow, plus all the wear and tear (not to mention gas) you'll save. Just be certain it's secure, what with boats being stolen these days.
|
Re: Churnin'
Smart man there. I bet you save in the end.
Nice pic! Love the churn! |
Re: Churnin'
Pipe and BR...savin' wear n' tear and even possibly a coupla bucks the idea...this is kinda a test to see how it REELY goes...but as good as it tows, it'll be nice not havin' the "V" goin' down the "I" ;) ...
...of course NOTHING is 100%, but I feel she's pretty safe...inside a locked chain-link fence(security cameras) and inside an enclosed metal storage cubicle (my lock)...and if thieves go in, they're more likely to target blinged out ski-boats than 32 yr old fishin' boats...I hope ;) ... ;D ;D ... |
Re: Churnin'
I would say that is a great move Oz, that was one of the problems I always had with my salt water fishing, the hour plus tow each way for a few hours fishing. Well done.

Re: Churnin'
Sounds well-covered! ;)

Re: Churnin'

Thats always my plan, have decent stuff, but not as nice as others around me, that way the scum will take the nice stuff instead of mine. ;D |
Re: Churnin'
