Engines done, now the boat

Well I got the engine finished today, so it is time to start on the outdrive. The picture will give you a basic idea of what I'm dealing with. I'll try and take some pictures for future reference for others.

And a bonus for HAMMER! The audio is poor, but what the hey.

Re: Engines done, now the boat

It starts all right ;D. Love the EFI, it turns over maybe 2 revolutions of the crank and it's runnin. Gotta tackle the gimble now :-X, not looking forward to that. I also have to redo some of the wiring. SEARAY in there infinite wisdom seen fit to run ALL of the vessels power through the engine harness, I don't personally like that idea on a boat.

It's goin in my SEARAY 250 project boat I'm redoing(similar to SKOOLS, but his is MUCH nicer). Here's a before pic of the engine that had many thinking it was set for the dump.

Audio may not be the greatest, but that sweet sound comes thru 8) ... great work on the motor, but there are two notes on video production I'd like to put to a vote:

A - camera close enough to subject Y/N

B - host should wear thong Y/N

Let's hear it guys...whadda ya think??... ;D ;D ;D ...

Re: Engines done, now the boat

Gotta have the thong on. Its something that belongs to only this site now and should always be treasured I think. ;D

Re: Engines done, now the boat

1. I did the first video up close and the audio cut out because the engine was to loud, I did try.

2.No thong for me thank you.

Re: Engines done, now the boat

Unfortunately I've been watching the market as well. Been pretty dead lately. I know where there is a 33 TROJAN that can be had for a song with recent repower. I'm hoping the EFI will help it sell. I do have somebody who is about 90% certain he'll take it though(just not much profit in this route).

I like the way that FERM always figures out a way to get his HOT PINK Jeep in the thread (this time on the video).

Don't knock PINKIE now. It takes me wherever I need to go. My diesel SUBURBAN is next on the block after this project.
Here's todays update. Outdrive painted.

Re: Engines done, now the boat

There was about 2 hours of sanding on that outdrive to get it that way, plus another hour of painting to get it nice.
