		Lumber,
My goal is to get my 88' looking as good as yours. BTW, you never showed me how your front bench seats attach. I'm going to talk to a local boat upholestry business to talk about reworking my front pieces. Is the backing in yours still wood? Maury |

Re: now you see it ,now you dont

		OK Lumber,
Don't worry about the seat pics right now....just tell me how the bottoms attach and if the backs are just plywood or are they reinforced? I'm going to the marine upholestry place tomorrow morning after I drop my daughter off at camp to get prices on redoing my seat backs and building the bottom seats (my boat doesn't have them). I can get pretty close on the dimensions from looking at your pics. I just need to know what to tell them to build the bottoms out of. Do yours flex at all? thanks again, Maury |

Re: now you see it ,now you dont

Yea, the backs are attached with "double end christmas tree fasteners" I have yet to find any place to purchase them as most of mine are broken. The seat is the part I have questions about.

Re: now you see it ,now you dont

		good luck ;D ;D ;D ;D

Re: now you see it ,now you dont

Wouldn't treated 3/4" plywood work best for remakin' seat backs/bottoms?...that's what I made my under-dash bulkheads and seat-boxes out of in "99 ... time and water have had ZERO effect on 'em ;) ...
And tell your upholsterer you want him to use STAINLESS STEEL staples ... Lowes has 'em ;) no ''runnin' rust" staple stains 8) ... |

Re: now you see it ,now you dont

My feeling on treated plywood reel is that it delaminates quickly and seem to buckle if you dont nail it down quick
