The wave of enthusiasm for Harris is in large part based on many Americans feelings :

1. Trump fatigue of his years of non stop blame, divisiveness , insulting and negativity.

2. More importantly trumps election LIE , his support of the violent Insurrection attempt and his obvious goal to eliminate fair elections, and our democracy . Trump as supreme ruler using our country as his own kingdom, inserting only absolute loyalists that will allow him to be above all laws and control.

Since Harris isn't talking about her positions, we must infer from past actions what they are.

April, 2004. San Francisco Police Officer Isaac Espinoza and his partner were on patrol when they saw someone who appeared to be suspiciously concealing something under his jacket. As they were identifying themselves, the man took out an AK-47 and fired at least twelve rounds at the two officers. Espinoza was killed. His partner was hit but survived. The officers never even had a chance to pull out their weapons.

A day later an arrest was made. The suspect was a gang member with a violent criminal history who admitted to being in the neighborhood to purchase drugs.

Three days after the incident, before the funeral and without even speaking to Espinoza's family, DA Kamala Harris held a press conference to announce that she was not going to pursue the death penalty.

At the funeral Senator Dianne Feinstein rebuked Kamala Harris for not seeking the death penalty. Feinstein received a standing ovation at the funeral.

Espinoza's wife was devastated that Harris never reached out to her, not even to offer condolences.

Kamala Harris currently claims that she was an Attorney General who enforced our immigration laws.

In 2019 she bragged at a pro-immigration event that, as Attorney General, she told local sheriffs and DAs that enforcing our immigration laws was optional.

And an illegal alien has been arrested for STABBING a 14 Year Old Girl who was watching her brother's baseball game. He was deported in 2018 but re entered the United States illegally through the Biden/Harris open border.

But we're supposed to believe that Harris is going to get tough on immigration NEXT TIME AROUND.
