V-21

Well guys I purchased Begreene's immaculate 1996 V-21 Friday. Drove up to N.J., did a quick sea trial and pulled her to Va. It was a seamless transaction, and the boat was everything Bennett said it was and more. So, after selling my pristine fresh water used V-21 over 11 years ago and regretting it since I finally have it back, sort of. I will attempt posting a few for you guy's since I know you all can't get enough!

Hot damn! Thanks Phat!

dmoore 04-03-2023 11:37 AM

Well it only let me upload one photo. Starts to load the next one, progress bar moves across top of screen then nothing. Thoughts?

phatdaddy 04-03-2023 01:21 PM

I am the most non techie person on here.

After you load the picture, doe it show up in your thumbnails or library?

What are you loading the pics from? I have to take a pic on my phone, then email it to myself, then load the pic to Imgur from my gmail account

Are u doing any of this on an Apple device?

dmoore 04-03-2023 04:13 PM

I uploaded pics to my new IMGUR account from my PC. Apparently only the one uploading. The other's looked like they were going to but as I stated earlier nothing happened. Now I see the one I did upload and post is now gone.

You bought it off of bgreen, how is he doing? Haven't seen him on here for a while hope he is ok. And you got a beautiful V21. Dam your a lucky person. I'm sure if there was something wrong with it Greene would have told you. You got a great boat
Not keep it don't sell her.

dmoore 04-03-2023 06:18 PM

Step he's doing fine...told me he has had problems logging on here lately. The boat was def as he described it to me leading up to the sea trial last Friday on the Delaware River. This thing will flat out fly with the 200 H.O. Etech...50 mph GPS. The tabs help get it there. I guess I am lucky to have bought this boat after selling my 96 pristine V-21 in 2012. If you google 1996 V-21 you will see the guy's ad where he sold it only a year later.....after he bottom painted it!! And used some of my ad photo's. I've got this one now and it's not going anywhere! Bennett wanted to tell you guy's hello! Dave

Destroyer 04-04-2023 02:47 AM

I know that Greene kept his boat in pristine condition. Sorry to hear that he sold it. Good luck with it.

Blue_Runner 04-04-2023 08:27 AM

Congratulations on getting the v21. We all know you have high standards based on your last beauty.

Dmoore tell Bgreene to reach out to me again if he has login problems. Some time back I resolved a problem with his login and notified him but never heard back if it fixed his issue.

dmoore 04-04-2023 02:06 PM

Thanks Blue! The boat was well kept and when needed something it got it! Fantastic transaction, smooth & quick. Helps having owned the same boat!

On the login issue, Bennett asked me to relay to you that the verification image to rejoin does not work. Even for an entirely new user.

dmoore 04-04-2023 08:19 PM

Hmmmm, my pics are back, what the?

steplift20 04-04-2023 08:55 PM

Tell Bennett that I'm happy to see he is ok but he had to get back on this site. Keep trying
And am very happy to hear that your transaction went well. That's always a great sign.
When I bought my boat all most 30 years ago that transaction went very well and the seller was a great guy. And I still have my 78 V20.

dmoore 04-05-2023 07:55 AM

Step he should be back on here soon. Hopefully Runner can figure out the issue. He is in the market for an older 23 Septre. Did I spell that correctly? One in the same condition as the 21. I think that will be a tall order but I'm sure there is one out there. D

Blue_Runner 04-05-2023 12:02 PM

I recently made some changes to get around the verification image so that shouldn't still be a problem.

If he remembers his password he should be able to get in. If he needs a password reset I can do that for him.

dmoore 04-05-2023 03:46 PM

I text him that post...Tks Blue!

Greenie kept a fine boat. So glad it went to someone here! Congrats!

dmoore 04-06-2023 07:42 PM

Thanks! Yes, he and I are two like individuals when it comes to our stuff.

dmoore 04-06-2023 07:42 PM

I'd pay good money to be able to post pics!

Testing imgur...

Did it work?

dmoore 04-07-2023 04:45 PM

It appears so. Like I said earlier. I can get to the point of watching the progress bar at the top go from left to right all the way only to have nothing happen after 20 minutes. I was able to get the first pic done but no others.

I am torn as to whether or not to do like I did on my other 21 with relocating the anchor with a Windline bow roller & gripe.

Begreene had the trailer tail lights on extended PVC poles. I removed those in favor of the conventional water proof LED which should be here next week. He had started feathering the lower unit in anticipation of touching it up but I bought the boat first...A little more feathering, some zinc chromate primer and Evinrude white and it will look like new I assure you. And I am hoping with the right swim ladder I can get it to fit portside above that Bennett trim tab. I have one picked out that should give me the clearance needed.

I have found the discontinued engine cowl decal set on Ebay. Waiting for a nice and warm day to accomplish that!

Prop is a Rebel 15 x 18 unit which was remanufactured/tuned by Atlantis Propeller Cinnaminson, N.J. I have the complete report 3 pages.

Electronics include a Standard Horizon CP180i and a Garmin echoMAP CHIRP 94SV w/transducer. Nice unit.
