Question for you Greene. IF, as you proport, our elections are "rock solid" then WHY are the Democrats so vehemently opposed to Voter ID cards with a persons picture and perhaps a fingerprint, on them? Why Greene? Why?

I mean, if you think about it, you need a picture ID to fly, to drive, to buy a gun, to buy alcohol, to buy cigarettes, to drink in bars, heck, just about everything. So don't tell me that they (the Dems) are trying to make it easier for people to vote, since those same people already have a picture ID card for all the other things.

So again I'll ask. Why?

The answer is SIMPLE - Republicans know forced ID cards favors fewer Dems voting because:

1.many Americans do not have one of the forms of identification states acceptable for voting. These voters are disproportionately low-income, racial and ethnic minorities, the elderly, and people with disabilities. Such voters more frequently have difficulty obtaining ID, because they cannot afford or cannot obtain the underlying documents that are a prerequisite to obtaining government-issued photo ID card

2. More Dems than Reps prefer mail in voting ballots especially since COVID.

I'm sorry, but I have to reject most of your premise. As i pointed out, those people you mentioned for the most part already have photo ID cards. The statement that they are disproportionally low income racial and ethnic minorities, the elderly, and people with disabilities is nothing but a smoke screen, designed to justify mail in voting. It has been shown time and time again, even in Congressional hearings to be inaccurate.

The underlying documents are precisely the reason that voter ID should be required. It's how one can prove that the person voting is, in fact, a US citizen allowed to vote and not an illegal alien.

Why do you think that more Dems than Reps prefer mail in voting ballots especially since COVID? Do you think that somehow Republicans care less about their health then Democrats? Or could there be another reason and the whole Covid thing is yet another smoke screen, designed to obscure the real reason? The fact is that without requiring people to prove they are actual US citizens, anyone can vote, and voting by mail is the easiest way for them to not have to appear in person with a picture ID as proof.

Getting back to the original subject though, again I ask... What business is it of the Dept. of Homeland security? Their business is supposed to be protecting us from terrorists. It's the Election Commission that is supposed to be in charge of elections, not homeland security. Which is, by the way, turning into the KGB, spying on Americans, but that's for another debate.

Also, We're still waiting on a reply from you to my comment about Voter ID cards and in person voting like they do in Canada.
