Wtb

Hi All, scored a nice 87 Cuddy this weekend! Need a few parts;
* 1 bait box
* arm rest/cushion for both starboard and port sides
* rear bench seat (of course)

Thanks-let me know what ya got!

Bill

Congrats Bill,
Sorry I can't help you with your WTB list

You can make those arm rests pretty easily. I filled the holes where mine were, but I've thought varnished teak would look good there too.

Good luck with that bench seat. lol.

Great idea!
Thx...

I think I have the arm rests. They may not be the prettiest but if I remember correctly they were solid. I'lol check in the am.

The bait bins have always been easy to break and hard to find. I thought somebody found a small plastic bathroom trash can at walmart/kmart/dollar general that would fit and work.
Maybe tupperware piece?

SkunkBoat 12-14-2016 08:11 AM

I replaced arm rests with 1/4" black Starboard.

I have two bins but not sure if I might use them again. They are currently out because I mounted flush rod holders pointing out 90 degrees to centerline and they prevent the bins from fitting.
I find the bins are not a great use of that space.
One of my daydream configurations is to glass over those lids & bins and mount rodholders/downriggers there. Then cut in access hatches in the bulkheads like the V21s have.
That would allow more use of all that space and easier access to drain fittings.

If I ever do this project I will have two bins and two hatch lids to post here...

Thanks all...some good ideas. If anyone does want to sell any of these items...please let me know.

Unfortunately, i brought the new boat home and put it right to sleep for winter...it's going to be a long one!

Hi all, i have seen mention of bin liners available from tempress...does anyone know which PN would fit the 87 bins?

Thx, bill

garbubba 01-20-2017 06:06 AM

I can measure the ones on my 87, they match the ones on the 83 also FWIW.

BillTex 01-20-2017 10:12 AM

Thanks garbubba-I have one-and have measured it. Just need a source to purchase from!

Bill

phatdaddy 01-20-2017 11:38 AM

I don't think there is a source for the oem part. Just have to find a "will fit". Somebody was going to make a mold from an existing one and make fiberglass replacements, but never heard anymore about that.

If you find one, please post source.

randlemanboater 01-27-2017 12:11 PM

At one time, someone found a small plastic trash can that fit just right...of course I don't remember the details.

randlemanboater 01-27-2017 12:15 PM

These all look like the same link, but they are all to different discussions of the "bins", Lumberslinger is the one who found a Rubbermaid bathroom trashcan that fit his dually perfectly.
