Man - if you live right there, I've got some serious canal envy. The boat looks great and I like that taller top - I need to replace mine and I'm thinking about doing that. Does it give you much trouble in the wind, particularly when you're trying to troll slow? |
|
No problems at all with trolling with top up. Best investment I made on it. I'm going to be down aft curtains next with a roll up center |

Mighty fine vessel you have there, sir! |

 Beauty of a boat. |

NICE LOOKING V!! The top looks great. If I was closer I would love to look at it to get some ideas. The top I made for my V was my first try and it came out ok but after doing it I saw where I could have improved on it. |

looking good... I saw the "before" on Sunrise Blvd. But you're gonna wish you had a zipper window in that top. You're in Silver Bay in TR now? That's a long haul in either direction to open ocean. |
|
Simply beautiful. I love the way you handled the rod rack problem. One suggestion. Get a length of surgical tubing about 12" long. Cut a slit hole in one end and slip it over the gaff and down the shaft, and put the other end over the point so that no one accidentally injures themselves. |

Thanks guys for all the positive feedback!! Skunkboat when it gets hot I just open the middle window and the breeze comes right in. Yes in in silverton right now_ about an hour ride to either inket- v does great on gas tho- went out to the reef and back just about a 1/4 tank- destroyer thanks man- still want to get the finish washers on there- I used PCV sheets to cover the holes up- great idea with the gaff- there is just a cheap cover on there now |
