Let the cat out of the bag

I guess it's safe to let the cat out of the bag now. Found out last September the wife is pregnant with baby #2. I've kept it fairly quiet because it was a bumpy start with a high risk pregnancy. We didn't plan on having anymore after all of the problems my wife had during the last pregnancy, and she developed a thyroid issue during pregnancy which meant we were at a very high risk of having a baby with severe probems so she had an IUD put in(even though they said with her thyroid levels she had virtually no chance of getting pregnant anyways). WELL that didn't stop my swimmers from conquering there objective, and her getting pregnant again(A nice waste of over $800 for that dam thing). Because of her getting pregant with an IUD and the thyroid issue, she was deemed high risk. They got the IUD removed no problem, and the Dr was dumbfounded as he said it was the 1st time he had seen someone get pregnant with one still in place properly.

It's been a bumpy ride to say the least with all of the nauseua she's had, but we had the ultrasound yesterday, and they said everything looks good. Plus her latest blood tests say her thyroid issue has corrected itself and her levels are good now. And they say we are going to have another boy due May 26th.

So if I'm not around to much, I'm either busy with a preggo, or dead because I said something wrong and pregancy hormones caused her to shoot me.

Ferm, that's wonderful news! Congrats. Happy to hear your wife's thyroid problems seem to be fixed and all is progressing well. As to the above comment, I suggest that you hope for the last one.... it's more merciful. Can I have the smoker if she does? :hide:

$300, I was only wanting $75 for that one. The other prop I was wanting $125 for because I know they are about $700 new now. I need to get my trailer cleaned off and come see you and get that steel. I got a couple people wanting me to build smokers for them after they seen mine.

And I'm trying to bite my tongue alot with the wife. I'm one of those people without a filter on my mouth, so being careful with my words is TOUGH! And I think the wife would fight yeah for the DURABURB RIDGE, it's a good bit faster tahn her car AND can haul around 8 people doing it.

phatdaddy 01-14-2015 02:23 PM

He's doing good, driving me all over the place already(driving me to the mad house that is). He's a 2 year old rambunctous toddler, and I swear I'm being punished by him for something. My hand is starting to hurt from tearing his but up, and it really doesn't bother him anymore. He's the kind of kid that will do something he knows he shouldn't, then come over to you for a spanking afterwards. So I'm not looking forward to having 2 of him around. As for tearing down engines, not yet. He does flip all of his toys over and examine them before riding them, and tries to take some of them apart. He's even climbed under a truck I was changing the oil lines on and watched me work. I've got ap icture on my phone of him on one creeper, and me on another one.

And spare, I don't drink anymore. Haven't been able to since I got in my car wreck. Just the smell of alcohol gives me flash backs, so that ones out.

RidgeRunner 01-15-2015 07:49 AM

Charlie needs a filter. LOL! Just be honest and tell us how you feel. Love it! If you knew then what you know now you would opt out. LMAO! Intentional or not that went straight to the funny bone right there..
Thanks because laughter is key.

IDK Ferman, I mean whatever you want to do on the prop, now is a good time while the dough has no other place to go. I can start to round up steel and I have a trailer I can get it to you. Those props are expensive new and the prop looks new to me...

Additionally, I have a 2001 GMC with a Bully Dog Dyno Dominator that has been burning the SES light nonstop since 2003. Beyond needing a paint job I think we want to fix it.. wink, wink... it runs great already but the light is a PITA.

Kendall was a lot like that when she was younger, she would do things she knew were wrong just to she what we would do. I could make Kaylee come to tears with just the tone of my voice(rarely needed to discipline her), but when Kendall would act up, I would tear her butt up till my hand was hurting while she was calmly saying" But Daddy, let me explain". BTW, Kendall picked up a set of Yamaha carburetors that I had disassembled and cleaned, she put them together(correctly, without assistance) while I had stepped out of the room for a minute. I think she was 5 at the time. She still likes helping me build carburetors and comes out in the shop with me to build bird houses(her favorite project). That apple didn't fall far.

THEFERMANATOR 05-20-2015 07:36 PM

Just a quick update. The revised due date is May 24th which is really close to the origanal May 26th due date. We went to the doctor today, and unfortunately she isn't progressing at this point in time, and he's getting concerned because it is almost her due date, and her weight is starting to go down already. He actually wanted her to go to the hospital tonight to start inducing her, and with next Monday being Memorial day, he won't be able to do it until next Friday. BUT she has some things at work she needs to finish up tommorrow, so she goes in on the 26th for an ultrasound to check the baby, fluid levels, and if there is any problems. if there is anything he will induce her then, but if not she is scheduled to go in at 5PM on the 29th, and deliver on the 30th. The hospital will only allow 2 scheduled deliveries a day(they consider inducing or c sections a scheduled delivery), so she has to wait until the 29th unless there is aproblem. If theres a problem he can over ride the hospital and do one anyways. So not out of the woods yet with this one. I still say he will come on the 26th myself, but we will see. I just cannot have him arrive on the 27th as that is my wifes birthday, and she's still mad at me because our anniversary is the 30th, so she gets an annibirsary instead of her birthday and a seperate anniversary.

For the time being my wife is walking around the house yelling "GET OUT, YOU'RE BEING EVICTED!" at her stomach.

bradford 05-21-2015 01:55 PM

Sounds like you got your hands full.

We'll pray all goes well for the new one and momma, not to mention you Ferm.

phatdaddy 05-21-2015 06:21 PM

best of luck

willy 05-21-2015 08:33 PM

Good luck to both of you Ferm, even when all goes well it ain't easy. My number 0ne did the same thing to my wife. When all is done and hopefully all healthy it is a wonderful thing.

Striper80 05-21-2015 09:33 PM

Good luck to you and your family.

RidgeRunner 05-26-2015 08:39 AM

Just saw this, hope all is well Ferman..

THEFERMANATOR 05-26-2015 12:34 PM

At the hospital now. Shes having an ultrasound and they're monitoring the baby. If all is good they will send her home. If she doesnt go into labor on her own, she comes back to the hospital Thursday to be induced Friday. If they find anything, then he will either induce her tonight or do a c section. The ultrasound confirmed its a boy. Everybody kept telling us they had dreams it popped out a girl

THEFERMANATOR 05-26-2015 02:40 PM

Well were back home now. They said her fluid level was a 7 which is 1 point shy of to low. If she had been a 6 they would have kept her to induce her today. So it looks like Friday will be the day.

bradford 05-28-2015 08:40 AM

Prayers sent for everything to go well.

THEFERMANATOR 05-28-2015 03:21 PM

In the hospital now. With mere hours left before they were going to get things going, he decided to start things on his own terms. Shouldnt be much longer now hopefully.

macojoe 05-28-2015 05:33 PM

After a LONG and stressful day, William Emerson is with us. Momma was almost fully dilated, then her cervix swelled back shut. The Dr came in and said the baby wasn't coming down, and he reccomended a C section. There was a window in the OR, so she opted for the C section. So at 7:20PM, William Emerson came into this world at 6 lbs 14 onces, 18 inches long, with a 15 inch head. When the Dr got in there, he found the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck, so it was a good thing we opted for the C section.

phatdaddy 05-28-2015 09:27 PM

congrats ferm, glad it all worked out. like that he's already flashing the V sign

RidgeRunner 05-29-2015 07:49 AM
