I was thinking the same thing. Why put twins on a bracket and not enclose the transom?

That extra cockpit space would be nice too, but what a boat!

Tin, probably not "you" but here's one of those old Mako 23ft cc's I found on boat trader for $6800 with a completely rebuilt 1989 200hp Evinrude. I think these have a very shallow draft. Plus, this is a very fishable boat with no T-top to get in the way.
Trailer looks too short to me, but maybe its just me ??? http://images.traderonline.com/img/6...80927095_1.jpg |

I'm amazed at what these older Mako's draw, even with a fairly steep deadrise. I wish all boat manufacturer's did this:

Another one just like it but restored with bracket and 200 yami. Very desireable hull as noted by the price of a restored '72

I inquired about this one. Guy is supposed to email me more pics tomorrow. I'ts a 91 Hull, 21'8", 19* deadrise, 2300lbs. and only draws 13", just doesn't sound right, wonder if that without the motor mounted??? Has a 175 Merc, I asked what year but he didn't tell me yet. No trailer, for $10,500, sounds good, we'll see.
I'd have to remove the bow rail, fill the holes and repaint the tops of the gunnels. Flush mount the harware and light on the bow, then should be good to go. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v206/Mnutz/mako.jpg |

Golly I wish I was rich! I won't part with the V-21 for ANYTHING, but I would like to ADD a 23 cc to my boat collection ;D

What a gorgeous boat that Wellcraft, lot of work went into it. Not a lot of thought though. That arrangement in back with that swim platform and bracket and wide open low transom is actually quite dangerous :o

that boat is beautiful and well appointed, yes to bad about the transom,I'd take it anyway

I'd take it and just fill in the transom make it a full transom and repaint the area to match she'd be ready to ride.
