Yep, it's cold out. I think they said it got down into the 30's here last night. We missed the freeze they forecasted for us. The bummer is it is supposed to be back into the 80's By Monday.

This is a miserable place to live if you like warm weather.

What happened to global warming?
Hope this is the cold snap for the season and not an indication of how the whole winter is going to be. |
It's GLOBAL warming, not LOCAL warming......... lol
|
-12 last night in the mountains of New Hampshire. Not bad, since it's usually -20 to -30. this time of year. 8 degrees above today...almost tee shirt weather!
|
Wednesday night and Thursday were miserable, down in the low 20's at night. Thursday morning went out to do some yards, it was 26 and blowing, said screw that! Only got up to 39 or 40. All my bananas got burned bad by the freeze, along with the hibiscus and cordylines. Oleanders are still hanging tough.
I really don't know how yall do it for 6 months straight up north. |
I don't mind the 30s and 40s but this single digit sh!t is for the birds. we haven't seen higher than 20s for a good few days now. at least we're right on the water so we're always 5 or so degrees higher than the inlanders. still, cold as all phuk. i'm done.
|
winter took its time, but shes here now!! 0* thursday AM and 20's since!
And you should feel it after they take your blood out 20 times a day!:zip: |
Looked out my front window late in the afternoon today. 3 deer were making a meal of some of my shrubs. I just let them eat. I can always buy new ones. There was something magical about seeing deer less than 10 feet away. This cold and the snow on the ground has them foraging for most anything green. So if they need to eat some of my bushes so be it.
