1989 Evinrude 110hp 20" shaft I have a 1989 evinrude 110 hp 20" shaft for sale. The VRO system was disabled. The compression was even when I checked it a few months ago, I don't have the numbers handy of course. The lower unit and water pump were replaced in 2012 and the engine was barely used since. It's currently in my garage. The engine cowl was painted by me last summer as well. I have a brand new spare aluminum prop for it as well. I'd like $1000OBO I can email or text a few more pics and video of it running as well. http://i1033.photobucket.com/albums/...psf572a193.jpg |
 i wish it was a 25" |
good motor for a good price |
I just repainted the cowl. I changed the color from the Evinrude blue to a black metallic, since it just didn't look right with the black lower. http://i1033.photobucket.com/albums/...ps93fcf830.jpg |
Looks nice! Can't believe you haven't sold it yet. |
I've only listed it on a few message boards. I'm too busy right now to deal with the Craigslist experience. |
Forgive my lack of knowledge but would this work on a v20 with a bracket? What kind of speed did you get out of it on your 20? Thank you. Craigan |
Not sure how it would work on a v20, it was on a Grady 190 tarpon that I bought. From what the PO told me it moved the boat well, I just didn't trust the transom to run it myself. |
sorry just measured and I need 25". Thanks though |
 $800 obo |
Man, wish I had a boat I could use that on. |
I wish I could figure out a cheap way to get it here.......... |
 Side mount binnacle included. |
Loooooooong shot here..... Sooo if I could arrange a semi to meet you at an exit on I-95 would you have any way to get it on a pallet and loaded on the truck? Maybe a rollback???? Hmmmm |
Depends on what exit. Since I dropped the price and advertised it a little more I've had some more interest. |
I've got a friend who runs up that way but he can't go out of route... I believe any exit would work as long as it's easy off and on for a semi and has a place to park and make the exchange. |
If the semi has a hydraulic platform on the back of it, it might workout. Right now I'm kind of stuck since there's a boat in front of my garage and its snowed in. |
It would just be a regular 53' van trailer.... That's why I was thinking the roll back if the bed was high enough to drag the pallet into the trailer or maybe even roll it in w a pallet jack. |
I have a GMC Sierra 1500 with a 2" lift. The bed's about waist high. I just disassembled the binnacle to repaint it and dye the faded red handle. |
Hmmm lemme do some figuring.... If you think about it measure from your tailgate to the ground.... Still a bit of a long shot but I'm tryin.... |
 I'll measure tomorrow. |
Looks like the truck would be about 49".... Pretty high for a pickup. |
stack pallets in bed of pick up to get the desired height |
I'm still interested...... you measure the truck height yet? I'm thinking the only good way to load it will be with a rollback wrecker |
I didn't measure yet. I still have to figure out how to get it out of my garage with the boat that's snowed in front of it. |

Put it on crags list in the spring with a link to a video of it running you'll get a grand easy. I'd start at $1500. List your compression numbers too that helps a lot. |
If I don't sell it before I fix the transom on my Grady the price will go up. Right now it's off the boat so the fact that I can only run it on the hose is reflected in the asking price. |
 I'm still interested... |
I know I just don't know how we could work it out. |
I figure we can't do anything till your driveway is clear.... Then either have a roll back put it in the back of my friend's trailer or possibly just ship it. Since I was recently reminded of the salt issue in the trailer thread..... How bad is it? Is this thing corroded all over the place to where it becomes a major pita to work on? Do I need to worry about internal corrosion in the powerhead? Here in freshwater world we don't ever think about that stuff? |

Good deal... I figure it should be ok to push my V.... Rated a 5 les hp than my TOP but should actually be more since it's prop rated..... At least that's my theory..... 150 plus would be nice of course but..... |

Might be too small for a V 20, no? My V 18 had a 125 on it, it was a Force so who knows how much it actually made. The 130 that I have would be perfect for your V 20 but I'm going to hang that on my Grady so I can try and get too dollar for the boat. I wish I never bought that damn Grady. I see so many V20s come up for sale that need power. |
Just noticed your reply.... Yeah it's less than ideal for the V but should push it ok.... At least high 20's My merc 1150 pushed it ok when I tested it and it's flywheel rated.... I do need to find a motor and this one is in my price range. |
It's still available if there's some way to hook up. I'm trying to have my Wellcraft ready to go by April 18th. After that I plan on burning the fogging oil out of the engine and doing another compression test so I have the numbers. Wishi had a boat to run it on but the crappy winter slowed down the demo on my transom replacement job. |
Fired her up and she ran smooth, but the trim motor sounded like it had rocks in it. I ordered a new one and it came in today. I'll install it tomorrow and she should be ready to go again. |
Trim pump in and working excellent. |
Sold finally, pending final payment |
