Great you will love um . I have been looking for a set of SS holders with water caps for 6 months now . BINGO EBAY had them and a lot cheaper than retail stores ! WIN - WIN

smokeonthewater 04-29-2014 09:42 PM

I dunno... getting pretty radical on the budget V build spending... LOL

Yeah I've been thinking more and more about getting the V fixed up and since I'm working tons of hours now it just felt right to splurge a little.... ... a paint job.... floor treatment.... flip flop livewell/cooler seat... coaming pads..... few other odds n ends

Oh and a newer bigger outboard would be nice

spareparts 05-01-2014 07:51 PM

was was the price on those things, I just looked and they are up to $269 per set, thats $66 each. Sorry, I'll pass on that, I can get Pompanet or E-Tec rod holders cheaper than that

smokeonthewater 05-01-2014 09:26 PM

WOW! I paid $63.99 per set of 4..... guess they goofed on the price..... Hope they send me mine

GREYWOLF 05-01-2014 09:46 PM

Not sure were you got that price , mine came thru for the $63.99 price for (4) ?????????????

I just checked the EBAY page , you are wright the price went up !! all I can figure is that the original post was for 1 or each and somebudy screwed up on the original sale post . Guess I got a real deal sorry for posting falce info.

Destroyer 05-01-2014 10:03 PM

I just looked and the price is $263.99. I think they goofed and left out the 2 on the original ad. I would certainly have bought a few sets at the 63.99 price, but, like Spare, I'll pass at the 263 price tag. Great find, and a lucky one it seems.

smokeonthewater 05-02-2014 07:19 AM

Did they send you a tracking number? ..... I have t got one yet.... Have t got a refund either tho..... Hope they show up

bradford 05-02-2014 09:17 AM

I was thinking, Damn I guess I really am a cheapass! LOL

I bought 2 new ones in original package at a garage sale for $20.

smokeonthewater 05-02-2014 09:21 PM

Looking good there Greywolf. Y'all got a deal!

smokeonthewater 05-06-2014 03:42 PM

Well they showed up today.... Sweet!

SkunkBoat 05-06-2014 07:31 PM

They look nice. I have a pair of 0degree ones in the forward positions, so the rod sticks straight up.
Wish I could get a 15 degree in there turned outward but the gunnel isn't wide enough.

Ended up adding some angled out rod holders welded to my hard top.

scook 05-13-2014 12:11 AM

I've had pretty good lock with Marine Part Depot - they have angled SS holders at around $18 each. Very low prices in general. I got a couple of bow rail sockets to mount on the deck which weren't EXACTLY the same (screws in different locations), but I didn't think it was a big deal, given tne low price.
