I made a offer on a Mobile home yesterday and they have excepted! My closing will be this next Saturday. So I have a place to live, the boat is gone, just need to get a truck and I am good to go.
Here are a few pictures:

Wow that place looks nice , looks like a lot of room, Is it a double wide ?
I owned one for 3 years after my wife and I split . I too sold everything and down sized . It was pretty cool , LOW HEATING COSTS , easy to clean. I hope you enjoy it

Congrats MJ the place looks really nice. I know it's rough to downsize but there really is something to be said about living free and clear..... I'm sure you will have another boat and maybe even better than the last one.... this move doesn't mean you'll be too busy to meet up does it?

Congrats, looks nice. Need help?

Good luck to you and your family MJ, a roof over your heads is 90% of the stress. It looks very comfortable.

Just released from prison, its been awhile. The last I remember, you bought a house and you and your son were digging a trench in the yard for a water line ???

MJ, that house looks like a winner. Glad you were able to carry it off. VERY sorry about your boat. I know you'll be back boating again soon though... salt water is in your blood. Till that time you're more than welcome to hitch a ride with me, and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that all of us would be happy to have you aboard.:fam:

Thanks everyone!! The nice thing is all the furniture, washer, dryer, beds are staying! I will get rid of some of the stuff but some of the stuff is great! Thats why the guy gave it to me for my lesser offer , he did not want to move anything, It was all his mothers stuff.

aussie here in the States if you get a big trailer like these that are 75' long they put them in Mobile parks take the wheels off and put on cement slabs, Then they are there for ever!
I am going to miss my house, really not the house but the land and barn I have to do stuff.
As far as owing a lot of money, I am paying cash so there is not any money owned!
Health issues are a big thing right now, and I am working on that so there will be no boats this year, but Maybe next?? I am not into restoring anything any more so what ever I get will have to be close to sea worthy, I don't mind doing the little things but there is not going to be floors, transoms or anything of that for me!

well in your case its a home not a house i understand were you coming from its not good to owe the bank alot of money when you are not well --who is going to pay for it seems like you have your proritys rite ---mj my wife 3 kids and me off coarse lived in a cabin 10ftx 20ft to build or dream home now that was hard and i can say it broke me didnt want to owe the bank big money becuse if i died i wanted to no they could keep the farm and we were happy---all that matters is that you are happy and have peace off mind---we will be down sizing once the kids have moved on something small---another boay will come ---just think you are not paying money to the bank to keep there lights on and what money you have left is yours ----all the best with your health and i truely hope 2013 is heathy year for you----ps i must got back to scholl and learn how to spell and put dots in the rite places but thats me aussie lol
