What is the best boat?
What is the best V boat built? After reading last week a post about Grady Whites Witch I personaly though were one of the very top V's. So I will ask the God's there take on the "Holy Grail of V's":nic:

V as in V20? or V as in v hulled boat?
as far as my opinion matters: 20-21' V20 Wellcraft/SeaCraft 20 23-24 Seacraft 23/ followed by the 233 Formula and all its clones(Contender, White Water, SeaVee,... etc) 25-27 Bertram 26 above that there are so many newer hulls that are great and it gets very dependentand sepcific on where and how you use it |
I'm not saying this because we own one I'm saying this because of experince. I personally think for versatility the 24 albermarle (formula clone) is the best trailerable boat ever. The ride is in questionably one of the best. Her inner layout is a fishermans dream(wide open) with comforts of the forward cabin. You can fish this boat in the green inshore waters for speckle trout and puppy drum one day and the next visit bluewater 50 miles off the beach all in comfort. There's only one negative to this hull design, she will wallow like a pig on the hook.

Pretty much what he said. If I had the money I would have a 23 SEACRAFT, or if I hit the lotto it would be a 26 BERTRAM. |

Best CC's to take off shore - #1Contender hands down, #2Yellowfin #3 Regulator
Seacraft had the design but not the construction. These boats are built and built right. If I could have one CC and I had the money it would be a 25 Contender with Yamaha four stroke power, Yellowfin and Regulator right on its heels. All around inshore CC, there are a few, anything made by Kencraft the past 10 years, Sailfish Sea Hunt would do, Boston Whaler and there are others. Bay Boat/shallow water there are some real nice ones made that are great for shallow draft but as an all arounder I would say HydraSport Bay Bolt. Does shallow and does well in off shore work. All around cuddy there are a lot, but for a classic all arounder the V20 is right up there. Just some quick thoughts and observations |

I told him this boat is worth the time and money to repower and restore, and that when he was finished the project, I would paint it with Imron for free. The rest is history! |
That is a beaut for sure, I almost bought the CC version of that boat but did not trust the re-do done by the fellow who owned it, all new floors transom etc. Had cracking going on in all the joints.
What is the power in that, twin in line 6's? |

I agree with the old saying, "the best boat is someone elses". |

Step up that T-bird is a beauty of a boat it must have scared the hell out of fish I checked out Contenders site and want the 33-35' with the triple 300Hp's just blow them out of the water |
Very nice - how fast and how much fuel burn per hour ?

All great hulls but I would rather run a 32 mirage pilot house with twin OB if I had the option. If your partial to Albie's, here a real clean one that the price is right on.

I guess it also depends which construction process you think is better also. I have been YF's seem to be top notch along with Contenders. If it my my choice I would love a Invincible.
