I finally got a Bullet Boat
 

Well I finally found one. I got a text from my friend at 6:30 this morning. "Sorry for the text so early but it can't wait. There is a Bullet Boat for sale on craigslist and it won't last". So I went right to the laptop and found the listing. It was only in the next town over. So I responded. By lunch I had a response with an address. So I left work a little early and went to check it out. It is in great shape. All original unmolested condition. It is completely empty just begging for a big motor to go racing.

I already have a 70 Yamaha for it. I'm going to try and get it ready for next summer to race it. My wife is already looking into adding more life insurance on me.

16' ? I think it would hold a 90 Yamaha 2-stroke just fine.. 70 maybe.

It was for sale for 550 but I got it for 425. I plan on racing it next summer with a local club that races speed skiffs, garveys, hydros, and these things. It is a 13 footer and the 70 should push it around 55 or so. I had a 90 Yammie on the last one I owned and that did 61. I plan on opening up the boat and adding stringers and bulkheads to strengthen it up. Then make the transom 20". Then rig it and go racing.

13'? with a 70. That is my kinda talk. That Bullet looks like a neat setup, never seen one up close. The v-hull race boats I see are either Offshores, lake class or older wooden kneelers. Very cool capt Pete.

I'm gonna get it off the trailer today. I will get some better pics of the hull. It's one bada$$ little boat

Lookin' at the pics above, I was wonderin' if you were gonna crack it open and work on it...somehow I didn't think you could resist...I know it'll be a stronger hull once yer done!!...What a great project to go racing with!!...just keep the keel down!!...:nic:

Amazing how similar to V20 bow pic looks from the bow eye down...w/the lifting strakes and chines, looks like a mini V...sent ya a text on something that ya might can use on Bullet Boat...
