Help with heat...and "other"
Need some help. I am installing a small woodstove in my V21 cuddy for those cold winter days. I would like suggestions on where to mount, where to run the flue and of course, where to stack 1/2 cord of seasoned oak. On top of that, my stripper pole is starting to oxidize (near top) from taking spray and the fact that I haven't had strippers on it in at least a month (I know...). It is 3" stainless. Any help on cleaners/polishes would be appreciated. I am at a loss on these issues. With cold weather approaching I want to get these knocked off my list......fast. Anybody?

i went with the wood pellet system on mine, burns cleaner(smaller flue) and pellets stack up a lot more compact that firewood. of course being in fl our winters are shorter. our biggest problem is humidity in the wine bilge
as far as the pole, i'm guessing woody wax |
I'm thinking replace the helm seat with the stove.....keep your *** nice and warm. Tow the 1/2 cord of wood behind the boat in a dinghy.
|
Rob, I like the way you're thinking...but what about the strippers. Can't have them running about the V with rusty chalky hands.....you know what can happen!?!
Pole looks like this but has a female silhouette flag (pink) on top, upside down of course (catch and release): :bsflag: |
Blue if you would keep the pole in use this would not happen!
|
Jason - thanks for stating the obvious! But I sprained my left testicle littel over a month ago and by Dr.'s orders I have to take it easy for 6 weeks! One more week...... :zip:
Where the hell is BGREENE? |
:head:

Ditch the wood stove and go propane..Get the long industrial tanks and mount them to the gunwalls out of the way. As far as the rusty pole goes that's a speciality item. I'd suggest a pole polisher that can solve your problem with loving care. It's not something you should try yourself. :zip:

It all depends on name brand of stove. If its a fisher stove I would not install it in the cuddy, she puts out way to many BTU's in such a small area. Maybe think about mounting stove in cockpit and then use a blower to direct heat into cuddy and radiant heat from the stove will warm the wheel house. You can stack the wood on top of bimini or hardtop. Use shella-shine on the pole. Good luck!!! Lol!!
|
I'd go the propane route.
And just what kind of girls you got able to handle a 3" pole?? I've been frequenting the wrong establishments. |
No, not a Fisher. It is a Huntsman.
Phat - I like pellet stoves. Problem is I have way to much oak laying around to think about having to buy pellets. Taking Kracker's advice I'm thinking I will mount the stove in the cockpit inside the enclosure. I can roll up the rear curtain, have a bi-directional blower unit that will heat the deck and the cuddy simultaneously. Just don't know how to get this flu up thru the soft bimini material. Thought about running it up beside the stripper pole but that will impede stripper movement to and fro -somewhat. I can get around the issue of the pole getting too hot by going with triple wall stove pipe. Plus, I think the ladies will like the warm pole. Feel me? Now what do you think about a jacuzzi? Really no different than a transom mounted bait tank. Yeah, it will be bigger but won't need as much H2O due to the displacement created by strippers........Hmmmmm....just had a thought....I can run the flu into a heat exchanger around the jacuzzi then out the transom. Am I over-thinking this whole thing? |
Now you done added a jacuzzi to the picture, what about a raw water and radiator situation?
|
I vote for a 60s retro fireplace....nothing says...."yeah Im going 60 mph in my V, and Im warm!!" than that!!

Cut hole is canvas on the bimini put your triple wall pipe thru then spray this $hit on there!!! It's the best stuff ever!!! It has a burn rate up to like 50 million degrees and will also water proof the roof penetration. The cool thing about this product is if you buy one can for 19.95 then you get like 50 cans free!!! Hell of a deal. |
Call me old fashioned, but I would go brick and mortar. I'm not trying to tell you how to run your boat, but I would also look into a baby powder dispenser (keep that fresh stripper smell:zip:).
PS I've got a friend of a friend who can get baby powder in bulk...save you mucho dinero. |
You're old fashioned.....but that ain't a bad idea at all.

Maybe you could use some of the waste heat to boil water and convert your outboard to steam power. It would save you a bunch on gas.
|
Monkey - When I'm done, this boat will not even need to leave the dock to have a good time! I am SOOOOO not concerned with the fuel burn. I just want to make this thing as stripper friendly as humanly possible.
What do ya'll think about a vibrating bench seat? Can I get an amen? |
This has clearly gotten out of hand.....but, could you section off the forward part of the cuddy and make a VIP room?

Pull a couple of plug wires off and rev engine to red line. |
Out of hand? HAHA Not yet....
I'm really diggin' your creative thought process bro. I think I'm gonna make the WHOLE cuddy VIP. Mirrors on the walls/cieling. Anti-bacterial hand washing station next to the baby powder dispenser. How about ........ Go-Pro underwater cam mounted INSIDE the jacuzzi connected to a 40" flat screen in the VIP room. The way I see it, a Very Important Person should have this luxury. :pic: Back to the bench seat - I really need to have it reupholstered anyway so I am now thinking vinyl w/ leopard skin print. |

If your boat didn't have a fishy smell before then it sure will now.
|
Better to smell fishy that reek of skunk, agree?
|
How fast WOT ?
|
Fully loaded, jacuzi filled, 2 petite strippers, 4 man crew, no fishing gear, 1/2 cord of oak, split, running down wind she tops out around 21 mph WOT w/ 150hp. All a man needs.
|
I have an idea for the hottub, get you a old used life raft case and use the bottom half for the tub. Then run a supply and return to the hottub, you hook an airetor pump up to get the bubble effect. Mount her up on the bow.
|
What about a zip line from the cuddy to the hot tub?

Install meat grinder on rear gunnel, if strippers get the fishy smell or give you any crap about no sex in the champagne room, chum them up and fish.
I would go for an open bon-fire type pit in the center of the cockpit over the gas tank. Surround it with natural indigenous rock from your local area. Oysters anyone? |

Kracker, don't think your ideas have not been heard. Your brilliant imagination has been noted. The A/C unit is not something I'd thought of.....yet.
BarnegetV - true on the friction. I'm already thinking I'll need to plumb a de-humidifier in the VIP lounge to keep a check on the mold. Bradford - I hear what you are saying but I think it is a little excessive considering the human nose can adjust to any smell within 10 seconds. Plus that is what the baby powder is for. Also I thouroughly vet my strippers before boarding. I have a questionairre consisting of 25 questions designed to weed out just such a stripper that might even consider any sort of resistence. Now guys, I think it is the appropriate time to think of a new name for my vessle. Here's some thoughts I'm batting around in my head. I'm open for suggestions. Pink Girl Stripteaser P*ssy Riot Wet Dream |
Got me thinking....Pink Snapper:sun:
|
You might want to replumb the VRO tank to dispense baby oil to keep the friction under control and help cover up the fishy smell.
Name ideas: Wet Spot Wellcrotch V20 Deep Vee Throat |
rolmao! Those are goooooood.

Call her the "motor boat".
