rope rub rail where can I buy a new rope for my rub rail |
I got it at Home Depot. |
Any rope will work. Different colors will make it "pop". You can get it at any hardware store or boat store. |
What size rope is used? |
Good question and what type ? I too am going to do this mod. I thought 5/8' polly prop would work ?? |
Braided Nylon, Poly will not work as it is not UV rated and will rot! 5/8 is about right, but make sure you put it in and then let it sit a few days before cutting the extra off, its going to stretch when pulling it to get on, and be to short when it shrinks after a few days of relaxing. een there done that!! |

Heck w rope... snag some led rope lights and get ur party on! |
That would be cool red & green The coast guard will love us . But lets add strobe 's for some flash:sun: |
Ditto Home Depot I use the Yellow, soak the entire rope in soap water if not is a PIA to install...Mine is due for a change since I did not secure the ends and it shrunk six inches on both ends > lesson learned not too tight and secure the ends using the existing hardware or new ones. |

 Thanks for the info!!! |
