Sliding Hatch
 

I am looking for a sliding hatch (hatch that slides towards the front sp you walk to the front of the boat) replacement. The part closest to cockpit when closed and on the bottom when opened is the one I need. I can probably fix the one I got but rather just get another. I leaned on it one day and snapped a corner off it and then a buddy of mine did the same to the other side.

Some "buddy" you got there Cob :-/

$hit happens. There's been several ask about one on here and to my knowledge no one has ever landed one. Best bet is to look under every rock on the internet. Ask everyone in the world, and then some!

thanks blue...so you're saying just fix it? lol it sucks it got broke cuz my boat is in great shape and now i got these two broken corners that are an EYESORE. kinda hate to look at it.

Cob, I guess I'm saying fix it...if you can. Its unlikely for one to turn up as a replacement, but keep an eye out and/or keep asking around and you might.

Been on this board since '03 haven't seen a slidin' hatch change hands yet...although many have tried...I think the rear part you're talkin' about could be made of Starboard...also talked/ never done...

You'll probably need some 1/4" and some 1/2"...good news is it won't take a lot of material...higher than camel twat but great stuff!!... ;) ;D...

If you know anyone in the fiberglass area, you could have them use your old one as a mold and build a new one??

After that have 2 or3 built and I bet you will sell them fast!! ;)

MJ, I's just thinkin' if I started makin windshields and hatches, I could put my kids thru college w/ the $$ from them...

I'm not to familiar w/ the procedure, but can those hatch covers be injection molded? They are pretty flimsy and I feel it's only a matter of time until a youngster or clueless fishing buddy marches all over it, then......"#% &^*$#$"

I suppose that if you have the know how and equipment you can make it from what ever you want!!

Some Buddy with the right smarts, could make a ton of cash on Wellcraft V20 replacement parts!!

Look how much stuff is needed here, Times that by how many other V20's out there and you have a pretty good Business!!

And with the internet on your side you can get the message around pretty good!

Hatch covers, cuddy doors, windsheilds, rails, hatch covers, gas tanks, per-made transoms, ect ect ect......??

A few years ago I might have tryed it??

But with no hands towork with I would never be able to do it now :'(

I need to build 3 new rods, I am not sure I can do that anymore?
