those houses didn't just catch on fire, they burned all the way down! living in match sticks. Must be real dry and windy for it to burn like that

feel bad for those who have lost their homes.I was out west a few years bck and sawhow bad the destruction from those fire can be.Those wildfire firefighters sure earn their pay! |
My son and I (and 22 other Scouts and Scouters on our way to Philmont) were in Colorado Springs a couple days before that fire...glad we missed it.
It was VERY dry out there, out on the trail in places the dirt was like 10x confectioners sugar. |
I don't know about residential areas, but down here in Charleston County, the county charges extra tax and water use in commercial buildings if you have a sprinkler system, not that you used it, but just that you have one, and since the Sofa Super Store fire, they are requiring more commercial building to have them. You would think by having a fire safety system, you would be rewarded, not penalized
