Welcome Tally-Ho. I'm a bit confused (there's a surprise). Were you the winning bidder? Do you live in the Brockton area? I'm just a few miles away. ;)

Re: Okay, what did I win?

Sorry, I took diction lessons from Tom Menino.

Yes, I am the winning bidder (allthegoodnameswerealreadytaken)

So, is this really a Wellcraft? If so is it a precursor to the V20?

If not I figure the trailer is worth the price but I'm really hoping that the boat is a diamond in the rough.

Do we call you mumbles? ;D
Yes it is a Wellcraft. Not the same hull as the V20. I think they shared some hull designs with the old Manatee/Angler as well as a few others with that same design.
I still think ya got a good deal from the looks of things. 8)

Welcome Tally Ho! (like your eBay name, too ;) )

Hoping that the boat is solid, if she is you got a nice deal there. Looking forward to hearing more about her and what you do with her.

Two things to keep in mind:

We love pics.

Don't let the Stink Man scare you away.

Re: Okay, what did I win?

Thanks for the warm welcome guys... and you too Stink. I'm just going to imagine that is some kind of light tackle fighting belt that you have on, okay?

I talked to the current owner Friday PM. Seems like a stand up guy. He seems to think I got a great deal, I hope so.

Chum: Good call on the bloodlines, thanks. I live in Rochdale (rhymes with Crotchdale), which is a village of Leicester (it's pronounced Less-tah and it' just to the left of Worcester (pronounced Wuh-STAH))) on the map but I work in Norwood (pronounced Nor-wood). Seller says she is stored at Storage USA behind the Westgate Mall. I'm almost dying to take a ride today but... We'll see tomorrow.

Reel: According to the seller I just need to chase a wiring demon and she's a runner. We'll see...

Pipe: Pickin' her up High Noon on Sunday, film at 11:00PM

Hey Tally_Ho. I was over that way this afternoon and saw it behind the fence. Not a bad looking boat. Ya got something to work with there.
Keep us posted. 8)

Re: Okay, what did I win?

Picked her up a little later than originally planned. The weather didn't cooperate and we ran out of daylight before I could get many pics but here's what I can tell so far.

The hull is solid and looks very good for its age. The trailer is outstanding. It's a 2000 model year with surge brakes and a nice strap winch.

The sole seems solid but we'll wait and see when the astro turf comes up.

The engine is a Volvo Penta fresh water cooled AQ125 mated to a 280 drive. Anybody know what block this is? Anyway, seems to be in better than average condition. Seller says it runs but it won't turn over from the key switch, a jump across the solenoid and it does turn. No time to try to fire it up today. Hopefully I can get to it within the next few days...

Also came with an anchor, Humminbird fishfinder and Raytheon VHF to boot!
