It was a ton of work, but it turned out pretty nice.
Very nice!!! I can't wait for my transom to be painted up like that
Wow! Looks really, really good. I especially love the chainsaw shot.
Turned out very well!!
I'm sure you're glad about the 25" part too. |
That brings back fond memories. Looks real nice and I'm sure its plenty solid too? Which product did you use to fill it?
Thanks everyone, I used Arjay, worked very well. Easy to work with, poured very easy, filled every nook and crannie. It is a very solid...
That really does look nice, what did you paint it with?
Well done sailor, well done. Looks great!!!!:clap::clap:
That looks great.
I never heard of Arjay, so i googled it. Did you use the Pourable ceramic compound? You went with a 25" transom, so is another motor in the works? |
Nice work and good to see you got your helper involved with the project.
Yea, he is a good little helper..
I used the ceramic pourable, I was very impressed, easy to work with and very strong. I looked at Sea Cast that happens to be made near by, its almost double the cost, This seemed like a very good alternative. Very happy with the results. |

Dad and I took the boat this week end for a shake down cruise. Man, is that etec nice. Boat performed very well, almost 5mpg at 30mph and thats running double oil since it has no hours on it. so far top speed is 48mph. You can see from the picture the little bilge is very tight, with two batteries, two bilge pumps, oil tank, live well pump and thru hull tranducer. So far i'm very happy with the entire set up. I guess all the hard work has paid off.
What kind of transom lights did you go with? they look like the Abyss lights. boat looks great!!!
That looks GREAT Wolf!! Very nice job! It looks brand new! I did my full transom from the inside a few years ago. It was a pain but turned out great and has held up very well.
underwater lights
I used Lumitec lights, they light up White, Blue or White and Blue or fade from White to Blue. Nothing like a little Bling..

Nice job, Did you use ceramic and pour it, or wood? If ceramic how much did you use? Thank You
Ceramic pourable
Believe it or not it took about 12 gallons..
Looks Great!!! You're gonna love that ETEC. What size prop are you spinning?
Wolf it certainly has paid off for you. I did my 78 with Arjay a few years back and have been very pleased.

Did you order Arjay online or purchase it locally?
I ordered the Arjay over the phone from the distributer in tampa.
I had a 20" prop when I first put the boat in the water. But, the pitch was much to large, it would only turn about 4700rpm, speed was good but RPM was much to low. I recently installed a 17" prop. made a big difference. I didnt loose any speed but the RPM's are right in the sweet spot. Couldn't be happier with the etec so far. |
