Nice! Where were you hunting?

That was at Tuckahoe, brother in-law and I camped for almost 5 days. He kicked her up about 700 yards away from me, shot and missed. Only to send her to me at about 30 miles an hour, busting through the bamboo thicket within 25 yards of me.
willy, that's a model 750 carbine in .308. Their newest design with the recoil pad seems to kick less than a 30/30. Only been fired 8 times at the range till she showed up.
About midday we were trying to find a couple of suitable locations to hang stands. Thank goodness come to find out, I was only 200 yards from the nearest road. Sent that picture and text to my brother in-law, caption read "I think we have a little problem". He needed the exercise anyway :bat:.

That is one fat piggy. I'm glad she won't be breeding anymore. Heaven forbid those jokers ever make it into my neck of the woods.

I assume you then cut it all up rather than roasting the whole pig?

had a great pork roast sunday myself...I was a little nervous because it was still pretty pink, thought the wife might be trying to do me in, but seems I am OK...

Yes, she yielded only about 65lbs of edible meat.
She had 1 1/2" of pure fat all the way around. Everything considered even being that big, should be good eats.

They say that ferral hogs are all around my area, living along the Deep River downstream of the RRR (Randleman Regional Reservoir)...I haven't seen any, but I saw a story on the local news showing some peoples yards that had been destroyed by them.

You ain't that far from me BR.
