Re: 1974 Wellcraft Steplift

Dmoore, on the pics the easy way is to copy the IMG line from photobucket, or put the pic address in the little brackets that are found in the tags, 2 nd row 4th to the right.

You on the shore? Several of us are on the shore as well. I fish from Chincoteague to Crisfield and other points North and South.

I like this....fast and easy.

Change the forum dropdown to "Gullf Coast Angling"...it runs off the same code as this board.

hit the process button...copy the code and paste it into the body of your response. You can type above and below it, just dont break the code.

Maybe with a bracket and a brand new 200 e-tech ;D

It is truly a one-of-a-kind boat though. Someone is going to love it. I know I would.

Good luck on the sale and I hope you get a high price outta her.

Re: 1974 Wellcraft Steplift

Thanks for the comments guys.........this boat is loaded and then sum, F/W cooled, 150 trouble free hrs, Lenco electric tabs, dual interstate batteries, scandivick transom shower, built in guest battery charger, kim "block heater" 500 watt, stays plugged in all year! icom vhf, cd-stero, cockpit bolsters(i keep them off when not in use). and lots more! this wellcraft was structerally redone from halfway back to transom in 1998 by my buddy who owned her and myself(thats why i payed 5,000 for it and then proceeded to spend 13,000 more including the 2004 Loadrite trailer which goes with the boat. You can't even come close to a boat like this for $12,000 its never been kept overboard its whole life. The guy before my buddy who owned her painted an anti-fouling blue on the bottom up to the chine area. We removed almost all of it. If I kept her, I was planning on gelcoating that whole area. Yeah, crazy, I know!:) Oh well if i sell it fine, if not thats still fine..talk to you soon!

Re: 1974 Wellcraft Steplift

I guess most people are thinkin "32 year old , 20' boat....,for 12 grand", sounds like alot. To duplicate that boat new, w/those options, is 40,000.00$, give or take a few thousand. Just gotta find the right buyer. Beautiful boat, done up nicely...I'm not a big I/O guy, nor do I need another v-20 but if I was shopping for a v-20, I'd be all over that one ;)

Re: 1974 Wellcraft Steplift

Nice boat Dmore, but yes we have seen that boat before and I think it was early last year, can't remember what site it was for sale on but I looked at it and thought seriously about it. Think it just had some transom and stringer repair or was in need of it, but don't remember the details. I think one of the guys posted a pic of it here.

Re: 1974 Wellcraft Steplift

No Willy, I have never posted my boat before now anywhere.......I had it on ebay recently the bidding got up to $8200 which fell well short of what its worth.....This V20 has been refitted from halfway back to transom with all new marine grade wood, stringers,& transom. It was done better than original..I know cause I did the work...these boats typically are "spongy" each side of the engine box because of the lack of stringer support, i,e they rot away with nothing supporting the deck. If you could find a boat this size with these options today it would run you a hell of a lot more than $40.000, besides this hull is the pinacle of small boat design hands down........Would'nt it be cool if Wellcraft brought back this boat today like Chris Craft has done with one of their lines, what do u think it would cost????? hmmmm?

Re: 1974 Wellcraft Steplift

Did I mention the price is negotiable? I will consider all offers and can post more pics if needed.......Dave
