Any V20's for sale in NE part of USA in great condition ?
I'm interested in buying a V20......preferably 90's vintage with outboard and trailer.
Looking for one in really great condition - solid transom, no soft hulls, no water intrusion. If you have one, please let me know. Thank you. |
i looked at this one last week. its dirty but in very good shape and as near as i could tell solid. no trailer but for the asking price of $2,000 that leaves plenty of room to pick one up and not have to much into it. i will tell you though, it has a 200 suzuki 2 stroke on it and although its very clean, its an oddball engine that could be tough to get parts for

Good luck on finding one....finally thinking of taking the plunge are you? I know you've been hanging around here for quite some time....something must have been drawing you back.....I see your posts on Bassbarn I guess I'm the one thats been reading over there forever with no posts.
I'll keep my eye out for you. |
Have to sell my boat first.
|
i listed a link on one in Ohio that looks like a well kept boat.

Pristine V20
A V20 in pristine condition with a brand new trailer. Transom completely rebuilt, no soft spots. This boat is like new but is a 1986. A very small dealer has had the boat for sale for 2 years. Dealer has Yamma 200 and will install. Wants a fortune but if you like the V20 and have the money this is the one. I can't justify the expense or I would buy it myself.
Send me a PM and I will give you the details |
Did you get my pm ?
|
Hopefully, I'll soon be back in the hunt for a nice V 21.
I'll be looking for the 93' - 96' model so if someone know's of someone..............with a real nice one ( meaning all good, solid hull, floor, transom etc ) please refer to me. PS - if I buy a V21 that one of you guys referred to me, you get a referral fee !! Just out of appreciation, because I'm " old school" |
I'm BGreene but I somehow logged in under fisherman ! Good grief Charlie Brown !!

|
Thanks fish........ I looked a long time for my last boat, that's the way it can go.
Appreciate the listings that you sent to me, thoughtful. |
I will say be willing to drive! I drove down to North Carolina for my V21 and got a great deal and a friend out of it. Plus, road trips make it more fun!
|
Just remember that you'll find the boat of your dreams, at the price you want, right after you buy a boat because you cannot find the boat of your dreams. :head:
|
All so true. Found my last boat in N.Carolina and did the road trip thing.
Then in 07' found a 23' Seacraft Sceptre in amazing condition but I didn't need another boat ! |
Next ! Come on guys, I'm ready. Pitch in the next V ! But make it a good one........
Listings, listings ! Finder's fee for the guy who finds me the V that I buy ! Not kidding, my word is a lot more solid that most of these transoms ! |
I saw a V last year that is the nicest one I've seen in person. I was working at a house across the street and this guy comes out and takes the cover off this boat and sure enough it was a v21. I walk over and we start talking etc. etc. The short story is the boat is spotless and nearly showroom cond. If I recall it is a 1995 hull and a '95 150 johnson ocean runner. Looks as if it has never been in the water. Trailer is just as nice, dont remember if it's a single or dual axle but I do remember it being just as clean as the boat and motor. He was not hellbent on selling it but he would, "if the price was right". Last year he told me somewhere around 12-14 grand he'd let it go. I told him its a great boat in fantastic cond. but your price is a little inflated. I mentioned to him that I could probably find a buyer if your price was a bit more realistic.....say like 9500.....a year or so has passed, so if you like I'll go talk to him again.....for 9500, or so, its a premium price but I have to say the boat/motor/trailer warrant that price. Lemme know if you want me to speak to him.
|
Yes, appreciate if you'd check it out and let me know. My cell is 609-0790-6226.
That price is high for a 16 year old outboard, but if it's got low hrs and is that clean it's possible. Thanks Bennett |
Hey bgreene, just keep looking, just keep looking.
My words of encouragement! George |
Oh I'm looking.........
|
So...anything definative from garagenc's neighbor?...that'd be an outta the park homerun!!...even the trailer is pristine and stored under a rooftop...:nice:
|
this one looks pretty clean with lots of nice bells and whistles
