i think if his is a center console than he needs a console binnacle mount. not a side one dont think that one will work.

Re: WANTED: TRIM SWITCH

The switch comes out of the control handle, so it could work maybe. Not sure.

Re: WANTED: TRIM SWITCH

So the answer is ??, it will work ?, if so, PM me your address and I'll mail it out two you. I belive I have two, M.J. you still need one. The switch only or you need the control arm as well for a quick silver.

Re: WANTED: TRIM SWITCH

Here is a better picture of the trim switch. The one switch on the left is brand new. The one on the right doesnt work. The wire set up is three wires. Red, Blue, and black. Will have to splice the red wire though. I shaffed the red wire when installing it. No biggy. Let me know if it will work. I'm in the giving away for free mood right now. Hmm, hopefully Chum will read this thread. *::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Re: WANTED: TRIM SWITCH

M.J., I'll check with my boat repair guy. He has racks of old controls. Surprised he works on my Merc. He doesnt like touching Mercs. Only Johnsons and Evinrudes.

Re: WANTED: TRIM SWITCH

Home made on a wire so I can do it from inside or out of the boat.

reel sent me a water proof switch for the transom, just need to get this handle straighten out.

Re: WANTED: TRIM SWITCH

M.J., Nice homemade set up. ;D

Fishbone, when I bought my V, it looked like the boat had been rewired three times and they left all the old wiring in. I yanked all the wiring out and rewired it. She's all snug and neat now. ;D

Re: WANTED: TRIM SWITCH

Fish, them wires hanging was from when I was doing things over.

Before I just added this Evinrude I had a Yamaha, so all the rigging had to be changed!! and this pic was taken while converting.
The wires have since been tucked away nice except the remote for the tilt which I hope to have fixed soon. With Hammers help.

Re: WANTED: TRIM SWITCH

Wellcraftman, here is a better picture of the trim switch. I pulled it out of te control arm today. Its a brand new switch. Bought in August for $35.00, but as you can see, I shafed the positive wire. So all you need to do is add a bit more wire to the positve wire. A-1 condition.
If its gonna work, I'll put it out in Mondays mail.
Hammer. *8)
