With a brand new $3,000 trailer, 01 Motor (low hrs.), full recent canvas, hyd, steering, outriggers, electronics,,,etc. ::)

While I don't think he'll get asking price, 9-10g's sounds fair. Gees, lets not devaluize our boats. ;)

I agree Tin, even though you would expect to take a loss on accessories you add to a boat, when you update one of these V's that has a solid transom and hull with new or newer low hour engines, important equipment new canvass, brackets expensive electronics and a new trailer you have a boat you could not touch new for under 45K. And it has a better hull than a lot of the new ones.
If what you want or need is a small cuddy a boat like that updated is worth more than 5-6k.

I've got $15,500 in my '94 V-21 with a brand new motor.

At the time, it too had:

- new 2005 trailer
- older 9.9 kicker and new kicker bracket
- new washdown
- new Yamaha oil tank
- new controls
- new awlgrip paint on exterior
- new rub rail
- new hatches
- new starboard swimstep
- list goes on

So, that said, I think the price is too high. I think 9 g's would be ballpark, give or take a grand. Now if that Zuki was a four stroke, you might expect to get a lil more.

He says he needs to sell so he can get a larger boat...he must not be in much of a hurry to be in that larger boat ::) ...

...lives in the denial of thinkin' he'll get every dime back that he ever put in it ;) :-/ ...

Yea but Blue, Dawg, you made that fellow an offer he can't refuse. Putting a horse's head in his bed was very old school by the way, loved it :D

that looks like a trailer from Bogue Banks Marine if so he may have $1800 in the New trailer, motor say $6000 when New and the boat with the top $3500.

total $11,300

BOATS ARE BAD BUSSINESS, YOU ALWAYS PUT MUCH MORE THAT WHAT YOU TAKE. I BOUGTH MINE IN 1983 (IS A 1978) FOR $4,500.00, AFTER ALL THESE YEARS I CAN PROBABLY SELL IT FOR THAT MUCH.

NEVER MIND THE NEW 4.3 L ENGINE AND ALPHA ONE OUTDRIVE, ELECTRONICS, CANVAS ETC.

you can make good money on boats but you have to buy them right do all the work yourself and know where to get good deals on replacement items.

Re: nice one in NC

There are tons of boats down here in economically depressed eastern NC with like new used low hour outboards so I base my low ball numbers on that also but its a nice v20 and I hope he sells it..I just dont see the numbers lining up any where close to what he is asking. I've lost my *** on every boat I've sold regardless of condition especially if in a hurry to get another one. If it were in San Diego or LA he would do much better as left coast boat prices are always higher...Frank
