Now MJ don't tell me you wouldn't even use it for an anchor. *What would the value be for a 1990 150HP Force with controls and gages? *It runs good and can be water tested. *Bily Mac *;D

Well. If you read down the bottom of that NADA page, it states, "Outboard Motors in exceptional condition can be worth a significantly higher value than the Average Retail Price shown."
And, since yours includes controls and gauges, go for it brudda. ;) 8)

mac..i've been watching forces on ebay for over a year....a running force with gauges and controls on ebay would prob go from anywhere $700-1200+...depending what season...winter on low end...spring is when you want to put it up for sale.

Plus the fact that yours is a ''freshwater only'' motor, should enhance the value even more ... go for it, Mac ...that E's gonna be SAWEET !! 8) !! ... heck, if you're talkin' to the right dealer, he might allow you that much trade-in value??...who knows...won't hurt to ask ... ;) ...

Mac, while the 150 is definatley enough, I'd seriously consider the 175 or even the 200. They are all the same bock and weight (427 lbs.) I don't care about the extra top end too much but crusing the same speed at lower RPM's woud be nice...should be even better economy and less strain on the motor, better resale if that time ever comes too. Did you know E-TECS are self winterizing?! Cool feature.

When the Auto-Winterization feature is activated, the EMM rapidly cycles the oil injector to "fogs" the engine. When the winterize cycle is complete (about 1 minute), it will automatically shut the engine off. Once the engine has turned off, turn off the key switch (if equipped), remove the engine from the water or from the flushing device and allow the water to drain from the engine. Your Evinrude E-TEC is ready to be placed into storage. The only additional item we recommend is to remove the propeller and inspect the propshaft and seal to ensure there is no fishing line wrapped around it.

While I was out of work this summer I went to my local Evinrude dealer to get a E-Tec brochure. *He was installing a 90 HP etec. *He asked if I'd like to see and hear it run when the install was complete. *He called I went I was sold on the etec. *I'm thinking about the 175Hp but I'm pushing the envelope now at the 150 we will see. *Boat show is coming in February deals can be made. *I'm excited. ;D ;D ;D *Billy Mac

I'm not against speed but I'd prefer to be the old bull and walk down the hill. *I'd like to see if there is a savings at lower Rs vs displacement.

I don't know Mac, with all the problems I had this year with motors, I might have just hung a Force to get some fishing done??

Ebay is the deal!! Lots of stupid people there willing to spend a ton of cash on junk!! (not picking on you!!) just stuff in general!

Give it a shot!! if it doesn't sell then part it out either way you will get something for it.

Here I start I will give you $1 and I will use for a mooring ;) ;D

A friend of mine pitch poled his 2001 19 Proline center console in Beaufort inlet on the 4th of july . The boat did not sink but killed the 150 merc , fried all the wiring and electroncs etc. I bought the T Top for my Mako 17 along with some mackeral bags, downriggers etc so all he had left was a trailer with a hull and dead motor on it which he sold sunday night on Ebay for $4,571 dollars ...A while back I saw a guy sell 5 old Rapala CD 22's that were all bitten up from catching barracuda for more than you can buy new ones for...When you list it put a reserve on it so you got nothing to loose...Frank
