We are on a new server and the site is moving at a good clip!!
Any issues report here!!

Thanks to Valiant for getting us all moved with out any real interruptions!!:clap:

It is running good today, Joe, but that is because the old server decided to be in a good mood.

I didn't get the chance to move the site last night as planned because things turned out to be a little more active than expected. So the new plan is to migrate the site sometime after midnight tonight.

The server farm is also doing some work with their network and will be rebooting their router. That is scheduled for midnight, CST. The site will be totally down (404 Site not found) for about 15 minutes for this. I hope to move the site sometime in the wee hours of the morning after the farm comes back online.

The good news is the new server we are going to is very fast. I have been testing it with another vBulletin for several days and it works very well. I hope that taking this step will clear up the problems we have had off and on since Memorial Day.

So hang on tight because this is one V20 that is about to get a tuneup! :beer:

Well I just did a 1, 1000, 2 1000 3 1000 count and it takes 8 sec to post?

But its only when posting, if I just surf I have no problems?

All I can say is that the speed is now WICKED PISSA!

I don't know. It seems better at times, but every once in a while, it's just as slow as ever.

Now that last post just took 48 seconds to post from the time I clicked Submit Reply. :sleep:

I gotta go with Cb on this one... it's blazing fast most times now.. but every now and then it goes into slo-mo and seems to hang forever.. it's like a watched pot, it never boils. I know it's really only 30-40 seconds, but it seem like eternity itself. Happened to me last night on one of my posts. <sigh>

Yea MJ I was waiting to see if things changed after your post and see what others are saying, it is very slow for me, sometimes hanging for as much as ten to fifteen seconds before posting or changing to another post to read.

Hey MJ, having trouble with the site, the past few days especially. Takes so long to open a post, forget about trying to post a response, it is timing out on me half the time

Site brutally slow most of the day today.....has been good for me all along it seems but really bad today...10/26. Just and FYI

It has been slower for me ever since the server moved. But since I'm really devoted and happy to have this site, therefore I shall endure.

Did I tell ya'll I really hate computers? I administer applications on 13 servers and two mainframes at work. I really hate computers! But I think I hate cellphones even more.

I have noticed its a bit slower too. This afternoon is reaaallly slow. Oh well I should be working anyway.

MJ is there anything that can be done, it is very very slow for me, so much so I can't even stay on long enough to read everything most times, and forget posting it is taking forever often times timing out on me.
I have several other sites I am on regularly including some that seem to have the same set up as ours and I pop in and out of posts and threads instantly so it is not my computer.

We might have to move again but this time I am guessing that we are going to have to start paying $$$ for a better place:head:

I have a complaint,Maco Joes pictures are coming in too clear and he looks a tad mentally challenged in them. Could you possibly reduce the quality of just Maco's online pics. Thanks and the pics that Chumbucket puts on please remember he tries to make the fish look small so we are not too in awe of him,but thats ok. Thanks Mark :sand:

I have found that if I get long-winded it logs me off when I try to Submit and I lose everything I typed. So now I copy everything before I submit so I can paste it back if I lose it.

That is a good approach no matter what program or service you are using. Save early.., save often.., curse less.
