First Fluke trip of 2010
Well first I have no pic's as I forgot the camera and BS was to use his cell camera and forgot :cen:
We hit the water at 5 30 am and was on the fishing grounds at 6am, Started out a little slow at first, but once we got tuned in we were of, we quit at a little past 11am and sold 138 pounds. We could have got are 200 pound limt but it was HOT out there and my eye was getting soar from all the Sun. It was Kenny, BS, Mark, and I, Mark drove the boat, Tim drove into the harbor as he has been in and out of it a few times before. We unloaded all the stuff at the dock then we put the boat on the slip, Cleaned it up and we were off and running. First time on a slip or anything for me!! I am a bit worried not being able to look out the window and seeing my boat there!. I guess I will get use to it?? Was a great day all around and these guys took care of me all day!! Thanks Guys! The boat is now on the slip in Fairhaven, I will not go out alone as I can't see well enough right now, but will be getting lots of use! It has begun, :hide::love::beer: |
And why is this the first I'm hearing of a Fluke trip? :bat::bat::bat:

Answer the phone? That's a good one.
I've called this guy the last couple days. He's too busy for his ex-friend CB.:fight::cen: I would have taken the day off. :cen: |

Does that mean the next time my phone doesn't ring it's CB calling ME!!!!! |
Glad you're up and about MJ.. Take care of that eye. Sounds like your friends will take care of your boat. (one way or the other) :beer:
|
thanks! Yea I went to the boat yesterday and I saw the pump running :head:
Went back later with BS and trailer to pull boat, but after looking at everything we saw that it was not leaking just some wash water. I was saying I wish I could tell if the pump came on in the night?? After a few min's of talking Tim said I am going to tie your bucket wit a bit of water in it to stay straight right under the thur hull, when pump comes on it will fill the bucket. Went back today to confirm all was well, and it was dry and the bucket same as when we left it! :clap::sun: The eye us still messed up but i am getting around!!:booty: |
cb's calling me rite now.:hi::hi::hi::hi:

We have been doing fairly well on Fluke here in NY. I have 6 keepers so far, Lloyd has two, considering our size limit is 21 inches.:cry:
We have been averageing over 30 fish a trip. :nice: G |
Thats a great fish right there!!!:clap:
here in Ma. The commercial is 14" 200 pounds a day, and the Rec. is 18.5" and 5 fish a day I am commercial for no other reason then to be able to catch fish to bring home!! We get the 18.5 but to just be able to get 5 fish sucks! Been a slow year so far! |
went out last thursday. about 200 plus fish came over the side, 2 keepers, 21 and 22. some nice 18's and 19's but not a great ratio.
