Just so you know

Well guys its time, Most know here that I am a Diabetic for many years, well it has been playing with my eyes big time!
I have two partial detached retinas that I have been nursing for a while. But I can no longer see the GPS or even buoys if not right on top of them, You should see my truck!! :zip:

So Thursday I will have surgery to repair one and then see how I am for the rest of the summer with one fixed, or if I have to have the other one done right away?

With out getting in to all of it I might be around here, and I might be gone for a few weeks? But if there are any issues Valiant200 will be looking in on you guys and if anything really needs something CB can call me any time!

I am not sure about fishing?? But CB, BS, and a few of my other buddy's have promised to get me out on my or there boat so I will be out there at some point!!

Be Good!!

Years ago my father in law had the same surgery for the same reason. You'll be fine. I look forward to meeting and fishing with you someday.
Red skys at night MJ. You'll be in my prayers.

MJ, medicine today is more practical than practice. The docs have their trade down to a routine, I am certain that all will me o.k.

Lots of luck, and get well real soon!

Road King Cole 06-09-2010 07:37 AM

oh oh, little fender bender in your truck made the decision for you?

I wish you a speedy and successful recovery! (I assume you are not having this done at Tobey!)

Take care!

Good luck with the surgery MJ...no sense it putting it off if you know its not going to get better by itself....I agree with Reodds...after seeing how they fixed my sons leg and the way they have docs now that specialize in every damn thing you can think of I'm sure the procedure will be a slam dunk.

RABBITFISH 06-09-2010 07:48 AM

Good luck with the surgery, try to find a way to keep us up to date on your progress.
I too believe that medicine has come such a long way that it will be all over berfore you know it with no more problems!!

Will send good thoughts in your direction!!!!!!

Blue_Runner 06-09-2010 03:53 PM

MJ sorry to hear about your eye troubles. Like the others said, if there is anything we can do don't hesitate to ask.

Heal quickly - they're bitin!!!!

garagenc 06-09-2010 05:07 PM

MJ
I had the same thing done and also cataracts and a stigmatism fixed. You will need to heed your docs instructions because if you don't you'll be back in there having it done again. But you can also damage your eyes so that they can't be fixed if you dont follow his instructions.

Good luck and if you ever want to talk or ask questions about it as you are recovering just ask.

Seacrets 06-09-2010 05:21 PM

Good luck "Big Guy". May I suggest some vision excercises. Go to the off topic section of this site and click on the W.E.T. posts. I know it helps me.
