That boat is 2 houses down from where I used to launch my boat. Its in decent shape for the money. It has been out in the elements on the water for a few years but last time I seen it still looked pretty good.

Blue, whats the scoop on your V compared to this V.

msbhammer 03-01-2007 02:43 PM

Re: 75 project V

Good Morning.

The stringers are in good shape, as well as the
transome. The tanks were replaced about 8-10 yrs.
ago, but I can't be 100% certain that they don't need
cleaing. It has a brand new canvas cover w/cabin
cushions that were reupholsted about 8-10 yrs ago.

My father and I bought the boat about 3 years ago as a
partnership, but life got in the way. I'm in the
Coast Guard, and it's been sucking up all my free
time. I just recently got orders to Maine, so we
definitly won't be able to keep our partnership in the
boat.

If your interested or have anymore questions let me
know.

Todd

Re: 75 project V

I posted this in the "Our Boats" post before I saw this:

I'm thinking of putting it on eBay for $800 no reserve. That's what I have in the transom repair I had done.

Here is what I have in it (which I do not expect to get all back):

$1000 Boat and Hull
$800 Transom Repair
$500 Complete Trailer Rebuild
$100 Stainless hardware
Total: $2400

This doesn't even count labor (except the transom).

I'd like to try to get close to half of it if possible

Re: 75 project V

Thats option #2. If I do that, I'll have nothing to nag other members about. ;D ;D ;D

Hammer, come get BR's boat.

I know a guy who has a motor that would be great on that boat about 20 miles away from BR. ;D

Yeah but I heard the guy was a cop so you know that motor probably has an overheating problem ;D ;) 8)

Re: 75 project V

Blue, what size shaft motor fits on that year. Looks like a 20" shaft. Would a 25" shaft work ?

Mulv80 03-02-2007 02:47 PM

Re: 75 project V

20" shaft on the boat for sale in NJ.

msbhammer 03-02-2007 03:23 PM

Re: 75 project V

So I guess a jackplate would be needed to raise up the motor higher to fit a 25" shaft motor ?

Re: 75 project V

Hammer what are you planning ???

msbhammer 03-02-2007 07:17 PM

Re: 75 project V

Working on something where I can spend more money, that I dont have, on another project. Maybe do a motor swap. Thats if I dont owe Mr. IRS this year. :-/

Re: 75 project V

Whats the matter with your hull ???

msbhammer 03-02-2007 07:43 PM

Re: 75 project V

Nothing wrong on my hull. She's fine. Blue has some hull damage that Randleman found. As you know, Ive been there and done that. Just thinking how the yard would look with two Flying tigar V's in the yard. *;D

Blue would have to know if I bought his boat, I would have to do the same thing on the hull. *;D
