pulled a V20 from the depths this morning
5 Attachment(s)
well like the title says. we got the call of a 20' wellcraft that sank late yesterday. so first thing this morning we headed out. this poor boat was in a very deep slip. it required 3 air bags to get her up. from what I was told by the marina management is that the owner doesn't want it any more so I put in first dibs on it. hopefully I will know by the end of the week. hopefully it won't sink again!

Nice work capt pete. good luck with it.
How did it sink? and Where? just sent my slip rent in today for the summer at causeway boats. |
I believe the boat sank from lack of interest. the boat is in Shark River. the marina management said the boat hasen't been out of the water in a few years and they believe the motor is blown. the only problem is that the closest ramp is about a mile away. i figure i could put a kicker motor on it to run it over to the ramp. Did you notice in the first pic there is a seal sitting on top of the boat? It was pretty funny
|
At first i thought it was a dog....haha
|
I'd question the seal....he looks a little guilty.
|
It looks like an '84 or so model......so much for the idea that theres enough foam in it to keep it from sinking.

What a shame!! Nice save CaptPete!

Did not notice the seal the first time through. Hilarious! I just thought it was flotsam of some sort.
|
Looks like a great find for ya Capt!!...I know she's in good hands!!...
|
every time I see a seal I cant help but think of that joke...."looks like you blew a seal"....." nahh its just ice cream"
|
or how about what a walrus and tupperware have in common? they both like a tight seal... sorry for hijacking your thread Pete, I'm bored.
|
no problem Rob. We had another sinker this afternoon. A 23 sea pro with a 225 4 stroke yamamerc. Hey Rob..did you ever do anything with your gas tank. My offer still stands.

Love those lift bags. I have a 3500 lb. 1890 anchor I want to pull up from Cape May New Jersey. Are they SUB-Salve bags ??
Good job !! |

It was a nice arrangment for us both when you were going to get a tank and I wouldnt have to freeze to death but now that both those situations are under control I'll save myself the tow down there. (working on new trailer fenders too). Thanks again though, I'm sure we'll be seeing you this spring or summer. |
