MJ & CB Fluke Day! Updated w/CB pic's
 

Well 3:55 am here I will be meeting CB & Kenny in about 1 hour at the boat ramp!!

The report I got from yesterday is that the Fluke are in heavy, and all were getting there limt of 200 pounds! Hope this is so with us today!!

Weather looks good!! Hope the V can handle these seas??

Ok guys we are home!!

And we slamed them!! limt is 200 pounds and we did over that, and was still on fish! It was hard to leave, but we had to!!

You guys caught 200 lbs of fluke and left them biting?

The bottom must have been covered with fluke...one of these days I’m gonna bite the bullet and make the 4.5 hour trip so I can hook up with you!!!!!! ;D

Ok CB did great!! there was no stoping any of us today!! But I did get the Big fish today!!

And last but not least!! This is a 110 qt cooler, you can see that at this point we were at the top lip, the fish were hitting tthe small door and bouncing back on the deck!!

CB took more pictures, and he took some indvigule pic of some also with his camera, he will be posting soon, he is almost home right now I just talked with him. He had to pull off the highway to rest he was falling a sleep, but he is good now!

We could not have asked for any better of a day weather, fish or friend ship it was all perfect!!

The big for the day was 20 something 5 pounds

good job guys. its cool to see you old timers still got it. my wife walked in and i showed her the pics. she said that maybe by the time im y'alls age i will be finished with my boat. i said i hope so. but if not at least it will be a little easier to fish from the pier cause i will have rod holders mounted to my walker.

It was a little chilly this AM, as it warmed up we were stripping down.
But catching that many fish it is great leaving the Orange on all day to save getting Fluke juice all over you!

Thanks all you guys!! We were going back this morning but we are4 going to be blown out. :'(

But we will hit it again next week. CB was busy cleaning fish and had no time to popst pictures, he said he will tonight or tomorrow morning.

That rod holder is a rail off a boston whaler. its about 30" long and had another rail that came off the side so it looked like a 3 sided square, I cut them side pieces off, and mounted 1 1/2 pvc.

Gets the rods out the boat and out the way!!

I have to call CB to get him moving!! he has more and some better fish pic!

Okay. Time to stop slacking on the pics. Been sorta busy with family 4th stuff and all.
Sure felt good being out on the water and it was a great Fluking day for us. Always a great day when you can limit out at 200 lbs and head for home port at 11 AM. 8) ;D We didn't think it was going to be such a great day because the drift was not what we were used to. But it worked for us in the end. Most of the rest of the fleet were off chasing reports of big numbers in an area about a mile or two west of us. We could see them all concentrated over there, but we were on the fish. And everyone knows; "you don't leave fish to find fish." ;)

Hard to say who took the most fish. I'd say it was pretty much even up. All three of us were swinging fish over the side on a regular basis. I was dog tired on the way home and had to pull over to close my eyes for a bit and have a cold drink.
For a last minute trip, it turned out great. MJ called me the day before saying that he'd be able to sneak out for the morning and things just worked out for me being able to go as well. Thanks buddy. ;D 8)

CB was all over me with that hat an glasses!! He wanted me I know it!

Niot sure if I showed it before, but that cup holder and catch all was made from left over Starboard! and I am so happy to have it.

Now Lumber you can't have that stero system!! That is State of the art!! Cost $2.99 at Christmas Tree Shop and has the same batterys for 3 years now!

Where are you guys fishing and you don't have any limits? Here in Va its 5 per person all must be over
18 1/2 inches.

SR, they were fishing commercial Hook & Line, you can do that in VA as well with a 14" minimum and I think 200#'s a day as well, same regs they were fishing under.

There was ice in there under the fish, we pulled a few up to show, right after ther picture was taken we toped off with Ice and you could not see any fish ;)
