mhbm 10-12-2009 12:49 PM

It came from a local auction, didn't know motor was bad, stuck with boat and trailer.

phatdaddy 10-12-2009 06:47 PM

mhbm 10-12-2009 10:51 PM

Hey Reel, you thinking of slapping that nice new Honda on a newer model?

cruiser37 10-15-2009 03:02 PM

I asked for pictures two days ago and so far have seen none. Beginning to wonder if this boat is for real?

i was thinking seriously about going to look at this, but after looking at the pictures(if its the same boat), i really don't see any advantage of the v-21. the built in bracket is great, but you still have a splashwell. i think a i/o with a bracket is a better set up. is the additional foot in the transom only or cockpit & cabin also?

THINKIN' about it...yeah...but somethin's got me a little spooked about this one...

willy 10-16-2009 07:46 AM

The extra foot is in the overall length created with the externally protruding motor well. Which is really what it is not a bracket IMO. I do love the looks of it though and I believe it may add an additional couple of inches to the length of the cockpit floor. It is not really apparent to me though when I have been in them.
I do get a sense of a slightly shallower gunnel height of maybe a couple of inches though still plenty deep.
My 92 cuddy has the higher floor in it also compared to the 86 (Old School) I had but the V21 seems higher yet as to where my leg hits the top cap.

evilgli 10-16-2009 07:52 AM

hell for 2 grand more..you guys can have a complete newer boat with a bunch of new stuff..all mine needs is a floor repair and your set..
