The Coral Reefers
You boys be good cause the next couple of days I am going to be bad, hehehe.
Taking the little hottie I call the CEO to AC for a Jimmy Buffet concert, some fine dining and dancing along with whatever pops up. Got us a fancy smancy hotel room for the night and turning the cell phones off. So you all take care and comb your hair:nice: |
I envy you, the wife and I love going to Buffett concerts.
|
I went to my first Buffett concert in 1979 or 1980, walked up to the box office right before the show and got some good seats for $7.50.
Been to many more over the years but not lately....... I can't afford to go now, but it was fun back then. Have fun Willy! |
first time i saw buffet , he was free at a sga event at South Florida
last time was 0ct 79 and he was $8.50 at U of Fl he came to panama city in early 80's and tickets were $25. i said no way i always had a great time at his concerts. sounds like you got a good plan. i over heard some of my daughters friends talking about U2 tickets for only $200.00 |
Have fun with the CEO willy.
As for Jimmy Buffet, I wouldn't go see the guy for free. It's almost as bad as being on a boat with MJ for 8 hours or so listening to the same butchered songs over and over. I'd rather shave my azz with a cheese grater and sit in a salt bath.:cen: |
Pretty graphic, there CB...particularly the part about bein' in a boat 8 hrs w/MJ...
Back in early 70's I was datin' a girl at University of South Carolina...down there one weekend and rumor goin' around free JB concert on of the practice football fields...we grabbed a cooler and blanket and got there just as they finished backin two flat-beds butt-to-butt and settin' up...we were right on front...one guitarist walks out and starts warmin up...then drummer...then another...then JB...and it was ON from there... Got yer text pics, Willy...glad you and CEO hadda BIG TIME!!...:happy: |

Well we just got back, the man can throw a party. Very few concerts you go to where number 1, everyone is having a great time, 2 everyone knows all the words and is singing, 3 no one gets hurt but everyone is partied up, 4 they are all parrot heads.
I know you told me before CB that you just don't get it with JB but the man has a way with a song, he is better live even than in his albums and that is rare to see. The music usually tells a story and reflects an attitude and way of life which millions, like me connect with tremendously. Anyhow he made me smile ear to ear, then I had the CEO smiling ear to ear so a great night and evening all around. |

Just for the record we are talking about the wind Talker not JB, because that man is as smooth as silk, hey maybe that is why you dont like him CB, you are more of a leather/vinyl kind of guy right
|
That's a trick question willy. There is no right answer. :zip:
Yes. we're talking about the windtalker himself. :nut: |

I dont know how anyone who loves to be on the water could hate Jimmy. I am a fellow parrot head. I have been to over 20 shows. One of the best times you can have on land.

Ya know, Jimmy's had a couple of close calls along the way...here's one of them...

Not to try to sound intellectual or anything (I cant even spell it) but I have enjoyed reading the books that JB wrote as well, "Where is Joe Merchant" is my favorite.
