WTB a 150 fourstroke

I am looking at buying a 150 four stroke my current motor is a 150 yamaha 2 stroke.

What is the best deal that people have found on new or used 4 strokes.

I see them sometimes under $5000 on ebay. But you never know what you might get off of ebay.

thanks

Stick with a 2 stroke. Etechs seem to have it together more torque, comperable fuel economy and they are quite. Just my 2cents.

Seems like either will more than do it, have not shopped for a good price on either.
At the boat show the price minus tax on a 150 ETec installed on my V was 14.000

REEL, the right price for a lightly used 150 Honda would make a nice downpayment on that Etec ;D

If you don't mind me asking where did you get yours and how much?

I really don't want to finance a engine but it look like that is the norm

It is very hard to even find postings about what these four strokes should sell for new.

Re: WTB a 150 fourstroke

Thanks for the information. I have the money it is just hard to spend 8-10 on a motor for me. But I really don't want anyones problems either.

I see the suzuki 140 is about $8000 how would you expect to pay install with all rigging.
Would boat show be cheaper?

It would be nice to find slightly used under warrenty motor for less then $6000

thanks

Re: WTB a 150 fourstroke

I'd guess another 1500 w/ install, rigging, prop, controls, and gauges?
