The pix speak for themselves...no one was home when I took 'em, so now you know as much about it as I do...

Transom test; did put all my weight on motor w/NO bad result...this whole thing seems solid and all hatch-lids, doors , etc are here...plus the bimini-top in storage...trailer even looks serviceable w/a little work

Motor; no idea, but as pic shows, steering is disconnected...it's located several hundred yards from ramp on ICW just outside Sunset Beach NC, so I don't think it's been sitting too long

Give him a call if you're interested...let us know what he says...hope someone here gets this one as it really looks good 8)

SOLD! i'm gonna buy it !;D going down wednesday to check it out and pay him....he says engine runs and he dropped in water about 3 months ago...some titling issues but we think we can get them straightened out fairly easy....thanks for posting the pics Reel! i gave him the website address so he might be poppin in .

this one is exactly like the one i made that ill fated trip for! only its in way better condition! but i'm not letting this one get away ;D

nah its not too bad hopefully ...possibly some overheating/waterpump issues....i'm gonna give it a good checkup when i go down there....bringing compression checker....spark checker and laser thermometer.

I did call the guy a couple of times about the boat.

Kajun I had talked to him before you made that it's sold post.

I did want to give you a heads up.

I got him down to $3200

Hull is great.

Motor and trailer is another *story. Guy says the he has had the boat for two years and used it once. During the one use it overheated.

The guy said that he would not sea trail the boat although he is less then 5 mins from a boat ramp.
Boat is not in his name and comes with the orginial bill of sale and registation from when boat it 2 years ago.
He is refusing to sea trail the boat. He said that it did run good on ears though. But after that, he said I still won't put it the water.

He also said I can't warrenty the engine or the trailer, you have to make a decision.

Oil injection has been disabled.

Trailer needs all 4 tires and wheel barrings are in unknown condition.

the steering linkage was locked up but now it is free after some wd40 .

Gauges work sometimes

If you buy the boat, buy it for the hull and plan of a repowering shortly after.

I think that $3200 is good for what it is though. But the boat is not turn key.

If the boat was not 6 hours away I would buy it without question.

I am still thinking about it, but Kajun you go and look at and if it still there this weekend I may give my self a few days to get it home.

Kajun if you decide to look at it and don't want it I will buy it from you and pay you for towing it back to Hampton Roads if you still live here?

I was suppose to go pick the boat up today and I am off work but the sea trail thing, overheating, *it being a 20 year old outboard made me think twice.

Mercurys aren't the most reiable things out there either.

Sounds like the guy has sold it to a bunch of us at one time! lol I got him down lower...not saying how much cause I don't want to step on Kajun's toes. Didn't know all of us were working on it at the same time. :o My boat will come when the time is right. Heck, I'm still learning about the V20's and probably should ride in one before I buy one.

Kajun: go for it dude!! So what if it needs motor work? If it's what you want and the hull is solid, let er rip!!! I still think you can get it cheaper by the way.

when I bought mine last june I paid 4500.00 and everything worked great motor run like a top it just needed a good cleaning and couple coats of wax

deshet...your welcome to go buy the boat....i dont want any bad blood over a boat hull....the guy told me it was for sale and i told him i wanted it...he gave me a price and i told him i'd be there wednesday morning, he said its yours ...all i can go on is his word and our conversation....but as of right now.. i have not paid for it so if anyone who wants it is more than welcome to buy it...no hard feelings from me.....i need another boat right before my big move to FL. like a need a hole in the head lol i'd have to make 2 tow trips to Fl. if i cant sell my 18 before may 31st...i think we all know i'm an impulsive shopper after my last boat buying trip lol i'm also having second thoughts...

he didnt tell me about any overheating and we didnt discuss sea trial ...he said it ran fine last time he ran it..he did tell me about the paperwork,tires,trailer etc......i dont know i'll do some thinking tonight/tommorow and decide if i'll go wednesday...but as always its fair game until someone hands the man cash.

I really don't need another boat either. I just don't want to see you looking for a motor again like last time. And I wanted you to know about the sea trail thing. My *thing is that if I don't trust a boat to go in the water then there most be somethig seriously wrong. Compression checks can tell you so much.

I use to be in the Military also and I know that money does not grow on trees.

When I buy a boat I expect to rebuild the carbs, change the water pump and get new batteries. But I want a couple of years of good use also.

I don't mean to offend anyone buy this. But if you live in a trailer park you don't buy a boat and use it once in 2 years if there is nothing wrong with it.

I am serious about if you go down there and don't want it I will pay you for towing it back. PM if you are interested.

I have the money to repower if needed. *I like the boat because the hull is one of the nicest I have seen. But I have enough projects. But I am still thinking about it in the back of my mind

I don't know if anyone remembers the story about the 23' I Center Console Wellcraft I bought in GA. It was hell finding wheels bearing in these little small towns and I lost two during the trip and had to leave the boat in a Walmart parking. Sleep at walmart overnight. *Drive 50 miles to bass pro shop and installed bearings in the Walmart parking lot. The winch also broke going down the highway.

I am also a impluse buyer. Boats are my weakness. Last year I owned 4 at one time. But I will let it simmer for a few days.

Kajun I would like to see you in a V20 maybe you can give me a good deal on you 18' so you only have to make one trip to Florida.
