Re: Nicest CC out there
well i fell off my chair and hit my head on the desk.......
wow, is he a member? he should be? that is better than buying brand new in my opinion.......... that is by far the best cc i have ever seen V or no V :o |
Re: Nicest CC out there
Pretty slick how he enclosed the transom. I don't like those speakers in that location though. :P
But a big A+ on the everything else! |
Re: Nicest CC out there
:o :o Wow! When he say complete refit, he no lying!
Is that actually a really good deal, or am I crazy? I mean, if it's as good in real life as in photos? I wonder why he is selling ??? |
Re: Nicest CC out there
Man, that's sick! I totally agree with the title of this thread.
I have to stop looking at it cause I'm coveting that boat. My mind has been running through all the scenarios as to how I could buy that thing. But then, I come back to reality and have to remind myself to learn to be content with what I have... If the floor and all is as he says it is, I would say this is a very good deal. You'd be hard pressed to find a new boat in this class for anything close to what he's asking. Wasn't there somebody on this forum that had something like $15-20k to spend on a V? Was it Fireman? |
Re: Nicest CC out there
SWEET find Mulv. Look at the size/lenght of that pulpit. ;D Gotta love that Bracket. ;D
|
Re: Nicest CC out there
I got wood. Now I want to paint mine, only not blue, maybe yellar! ;)

Re: Nicest CC out there
I like that one better than the yellow CC that was posted a few weeks back.....but the yellow one DID have a new E-tec.....that boat is worth every penny
|
Re: Nicest CC out there
I'd pay that for that boat(if I had the money). If it only had a good motor on the back HUH Skools! ;)
|

Your boat makes mine look like a turd. That is one sweet boat. But I wouldn't buy it, there's no prop. |
Re: Nicest CC out there

W/a 250 Merc and a full-width SS bracket, I bet it's because the tranny sits so low in the water at rest or trollin', tha scuppers don't work...BEAUTIFUL craftsmanship, no doubt and I don't wanna take anything away from that, but there are no "in-water" shots...that's 'bout GOTTA be an issue ::) ... |
Re: Nicest CC out there
RAP,
Good point. You're making me feel better about not going after it :-) Do you think it dawned on him too late into the project? That would be a bummer of a thing to discover after completing the overhaul... How much help does the flotation in that bracket help out? |
Re: Nicest CC out there
so long as we are being critical................ I don't like the way the bracket mates up to the transom. It looks theres some gaps. I still would love to have it.
|
Re: Nicest CC out there
Schicks,
I noticed that too. Seems like they forgot to drill some holes and run some bolts. Not sure, but I get the impression that the guy may buy boats and turn them around to sell. I noticed that he has another boat he's selling. |
Re: Nicest CC out there
In fact, he sells quite of a bit of stuff, boat and non-boat related...

Re: Nicest CC out there
Fray, indeed that's true, but MJ knew to fill the gap. On a boat as nice as the one being sold, you would think they'd go the extra mile to make it look nice... After all, everything else looks cherry.
Plus, if (granted, this may not be the case) the guy bought the bracket and platform for that boat, they can get a fairly close fit since they ask for specifications upon placing your order. MJ said that the gap on his was from not having the correct bracket and platform. All that to say, that I certainly wouldn't have allowed that to keep me from buying it if I had the money... It's still a beautiful boat. |
Re: Nicest CC out there
I agree with all you guys said, but I will tell you from experience on some bracket V's with big blocks on them, especially without the weight of the cuddy to balance it out that thing is going to sit very low in the transom and he will be thnakful he has a full transom. He won't be able to do anything about the engine being dunked though.
Appearance wise it is gorgeous. Makes me mad, can you imagine with all the clone boats out there now if Wellcraft re-introduced that boat with modern materials and one to two feet longer. Kept the same hull just extended it. My God is no one there at Wellcraft got any brain cells floating around in their heads. |
Re: Nicest CC out there
Willy, you're right on the money on all counts.
I still don't know how mine is going to sit in the water, but I'll know soon enough, Lord willing. ;) |
