The PD had outrigger bases on either side pre-refit, wood with a metal insert. They had "Miami" and a marlin etched into the metal. (They were rough, but I wish I had kept them. The guys at the boat shop told me they pitched them. Probably sold them on eBay.) Maybe there was a Miami company that manufactured fishing equipment back in the day. If spare can't help, you might ask on the hull truth site.

In any event, the chair is waaaay cool. http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...ilies/cool.gif

Interesting that you say that, reel. I'm a fan of "Papa," and this guy says he has the fighting chair from Pilar:

pipe the links you posted are very cool, the first one wit the pics of the chair are close , on mine the whole thing is adjustable the back folds flat , the arms go up and down and I have the original spindle for the pedastal that would screw down to the deck...

Im sure if that seat could talk it would have a few good stories.

Pipe_Dream 03-05-2009 10:44 AM

If you let me sit in it, I'll tell you some good stories. http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2.../hillbilly.gif
