Trailer bunk carpet
Like the title says, I need to replace the bunk carpet on the ol' PD trailer. Never done it before. So I went out and bought some carpet, and I've got my trusty staple gun. Anything I need to know, words from the wise, before I begin?

Sometimes hard to find,,,,stainless staples.
I will use short roofing nails in a pinch. |
I did mine and got the stainless staples at Home Depot Goo Luck!

go to west marine, or look online for the plastic bunk slides. I've got them on my trailer and the boat jumps off the trailer when I un-hook it. You gotta be ready when you unhook the boat b/c it literally jumps off the trailer. Only cost about 20-30 dollars.

Thread resurrection!
It's bunk carpet replacement time, but I was wondering if anyone has tried replacing with plastic bunk slides that bcmarinamanager mentioned, and if so how did that work out? |

Wow Pipe, you dug up some great names from the past. Lotta OG s on that page.
I use old political signs on my bunks. Very slippery when wet, got a little cushion, last forever and cheap. Plus u can pick who u want to run over for the next four years |
S.S staples. And I would lay the wood on saw horses. , measure 3 times, make sure you have enough overhang on the ends to fold and staple away. Than you would have to drill holes on the bottom to mount it. A extra hand will help and ofcoufse coffee.try to use all stainless if you can or galvanized.
