It's settled. I'm officially putting everything I own up for sale! After my houses are gone and everything else, the wife, Raegan, and I are moving to the USVI's. It's still a territory, but at least it won't be as affected by the BS that's getting ready to rain down on this country. D>A>M>N> early voting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stupid teenagers and college morons shouldn't be allowed that much time to vote. It's called election DAY, not election month!!! Oh well. Duck and cover!!! Everyone's got until January 20th to get your guns and CCW's. HURRY!!!!!

willy 11-05-2008 08:09 AM

It is the will of the people, and as a good American I will abide by that.
I will say that last night I was for the first time ashamed of my countrymen.
If what I think he is going to do actually comes to fruition then I will become a different kind of American, something from the late 1700's.
And for all those hard working Americans who voted to put socialism first in this country, remember what lever you pulled when it came time to choose. Because it was not inner city people that put him in power it was us.
I hope our kids can forgive this generation, I hope my fathers generation is not looking.

Closer to Sodom and Gomorrah everyday and this is a great step in that direction.

God forgive us.

No, it is not a game, and it does affect you, your family, all Americans and, yes, the world. So, get over it, and let's get behind the man and put our nation back on the course to peace and prosperity.

Some of the members of this site voted early....are they stupid morons? College morons seems like an oxymoron to me.

I think you'll find most of the people voting early are not "college morons" but rather seniors and people who perhaps faced extremely long lines in 2004.

Early voting is actually very high in the South and in the West. Voters in the West are encouraged to vote early.

bcmarinamanager 11-05-2008 10:23 AM

Well, every great democracy in the history of the world came to an end after several hundred years, so why should we be any different? When people as a nation get to vote themselves money from the national coffers, that takes away from our protection, then that marks the end of that country's government and political power, along with it's ability to protect it's citzens from those in the world that will do us harm. Research some writings from our founding fathers and you will discover why this great country was formed in the first place. What they were fighting is what "we" just voted into power. Socialism, taxation without representation, and aggression against freedom from within our very own government. I respect the laws of this country regarding the change of power, and I'm not a "sore loser," but people don't fully understand the gravity of the situation "we" just put ourselves in. Mark my words, you will see Chavez, Ahmadeijad, and Kim Jong-Ill (if still alive) visit our White House and speak and eat dinner with "our" President. I hate that my new-born daughter is going to have to live in a world of socialism that came about from my generation of degenerates and mindless sheep, that just wonder into the slaughter house. On a lighter note, I look forward to spreading "MY" HARD EARNED MONEY with the rest of you. Maybe now we can get some of our projects done on our V's. And yes, we are all "rich" enough to spread our money. No one in this forum will get any money I'm sorry to say. Might as well go down to your local ghetto and hand out some cash.

Voting early is a cop out. It allows the uneducated masses more chance to cast their vote. If there is such a huge problem with long lines at polling places on election "DAY" then maybe the states should invest in more polling places and voting machines. Almost three million people voted early this year, and most where the dumb-masses. Look at pictures of the lines, who do you see most of in those lines???? And yes college morons is a correct terminlogy for most college students now-a days. With the indoctrination the recieve they become voting robots for a socialist system. And most early voting was only put into action in the areas you describe. It is a state choice, and I just don't agree with it. People consider it an "inconveinence" to wait in line to cast a vote for the direction of the country they live in.??? Really??? Voting is NOT a right, it is a PRIVELAGE!!!!!!!

C YENSEN 11-05-2008 10:44 AM

take what you get and make it work

as my father always says.........

"everything happens for a reason, even if you dont understand it at first, someday you will"

whale 11-05-2008 11:09 AM

Actually, more than 30 million people voted early. I was not one of them however if I had been one of the people who had to stand in line for 8 hours in the last election I might think twice about it. Early voting is available in most states but some require a reason to vote early. I'm not sure how early voting equates to stupidity.

I'm not sure who you see standing in lines. I don't judge people by their appearance.

I wonder how many of the morons in college know how to spell "receive" "privilege" and "inconvenience" (terminology gets a pass since it looks like a typo)? Sorry but I couldn't resist...

nipper 11-05-2008 11:13 AM

I voted early. I am not a moron. I am a college graduate, a magna cum laude graduate of law school, a trial lawyer with the United States Department of Justice, and I am very proud to serve my country and to have participated in this election. I voted early (first time ever) to avoid what I thought would be a very long line in the metropolitan area in which I live. I spent over an hour in line, and was happy to do it. I spoke with those dumb-masses who were standing around me, and was pleasantly enlightened as to their demeanor, intelligence and patriotism. May God bless this nation, and help us all understand that we need to stand united behind our leaders, whomever they may be.

What gets me is that the republican based people in this country are always launching nasty character attacks on whomever does not share their views. The dems do not do that, at least not the democratic masses.

Last night's campaign parties or balls were very telling in my mind. Obama: rally in a public park open generally to the public with only limited refreshments. McCain: invitation only party in the swanky and exclusive Biltmore resort with champagne and hors d'ouerves for the chosen ones.

Blue_Runner 11-05-2008 12:46 PM

I see what you are saying BC...George Bush couldn't fix Washington in 8 years but miraculously Obama will be able to spread "socialism" to the far reaches of the earth in just 4 years - to the point that it is horribly irreversible and your life savings is going to be emptied into the streets of Harlem. Heck they will probably re-write the constitution so that Obama can be president for life right? :head:

Suck it up its just four years....we just wasted 8. This won't be half as bad!! Guaranteed!!

You know, it's funny how just last week the dems were already talking about getting rid of 401k plans. Taking away the tax advantages of them, and taxing the crap out of them. I wonder why they would want to do that??? Bill Clinton tried to do the same thing back 1994, but thank God we elected a rep. congress to stop it. And I hate to say it but, What has George Bush done that's been so horribly wrong, besides some factors of the Iraq war? He didn't cause the financial mess, the dems caused that by de-regulating Fannie and Freddie back in the '90s. What has he done?? Not to mention, the dems have had the congress now for what, over a year, and they have the lowest approval ratings ever. And sorry about the spelling earlier, I'm one of those college morons too, so please people don't be offended! The 3 million early voters where here in NC, again sorry I didn't clarify that. Anything else?

LESTERUS 11-05-2008 01:38 PM

Nipper:

I'm not a distinguish graduate with honors, i'm a humble engineer graduated from a foreign university, but since experience beats schooling most of the time i'll tell you my experience: I lived in cuba 24 years of my life, i have the promises of fidel castro fresh in my mind, then i have the pleasure of living in venezuela and i had a very succesfull bussiness when hugo chavez was elected, but my business went down, then again in the name of "wealth sharing", today, my former employees are unemployed because of chavez.
As you can see, i had my fair share of "sweet talkers", i hope i'm wrong for the sake of america, but the way i see it, this is not "usual bussiness" between republicans and democrats, this is much deeper, 50% of our population believes in hard work and honest earnings as a way to get ahead in life, the other 50% have the hand extended to see what falls in it, 50% believes in the " american dream", the other 50% are blaming the rich for everything bad that happens to them .

When i had the chance to study the history of cuba, after i left, i realized that we didn't have a bad system after all, but yet we wanted it better, and we started bashing the rich, we started calling all the politicians "corrupts"
and our media only criticized the government and made a modern "robin hood" out of fidel castro without looking deep enough into the caracter. Sounds familiar ?.

Having said my piece, i'll tell you this: I'm not american by birth, but by choice
and i love this country dearly, because this is where i'm going to die and for the sake of america, i hope i'm wrong.

bcmarinamanager 11-05-2008 01:59 PM

First of all, thanks for paraphrasing me...I WILL answer your question though.

He has cut taxes for EVERYONE, including the "poor." President Bush's 2001 and 2003 tax relief fueled economic growth and reduced the marginal rate for every income tax bracket. By the end of last year, Americans would have paid an additional $1.3 trillion in taxes had it not been for the President's tax relief. If the President's tax relief is allowed to expire at the end of 2010, Americans will pay about $280 billion more in taxes each year. With the largest tax increase in history looming, Congress should make the President's tax relief permanent. On January 28, 2008 during his State of the Union address, President Bush asked Congress to support a new $300 million "Pell Grants for Kids" scholarship program to help poor children reach their full potential. If you would like more information you can check this site...
http://www.whitehouse.gov/infocus/

So again, I ask, what do you think he has done so bad??

And I just do not agree with early voting. Election DAY, not election MONTH.

bc, it strikes me that you didn't really have an answer to Blue's question about naming 2 things Bush has done. Consequently you went to the whitehouse site and quoted it verbatim.
