Inaugural Fishing Trip Well Snaggers, for the first time, two best friends from opposite ends of the state were together for the first time to help me launch the new V20 the right way. Lumber it wasn't pretty you might want to turn away!! Anyhow the boat babe is back doing wifely things and we set out this morning for some fulking!! Rich Lopez sitting and Jeff Zielinski standing in the back of the boat. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...z/IMGP0711.jpg Must of caught about twenty fluke all in the 16-17.5" range(18 is legal here) And one stargazer, the biggest I ever saw, nasty looking mother. Anyhow it was looking like no take home meat until we tried another drift in a spot we know well and Jeff said Holy Crap!! Pulled in a beaut, 8 lbs. on a cert scale. Very sweet. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...IMGP0714-1.jpg The three Amigos back at the Boat Notel http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...z/IMGP0715.jpg The new V running so far like a champ, the Lowrance is a dream set up for me and the fuel burn has been good so far, two day of running and gunning and still have half a tank. Set up my portable bait tank inside for the bunker we snagged and for the cocktail blues we netted for bait. I like it, I can put it anywhere and it is large enough to keep bait fresh all day or take it out when I don't need it like when there is a super model session on board!! http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...IMGP0710-1.jpg Well so far gents it has been great being back on the salt in my own boat, the Gspot is a little lonely the past couple of weeks but I will make it up to her soon. You all take care and comb your hair:beer: |

good deal young Will, nice fluke...I took the tin out tonight....lotsa blues, all small [3-4 lbs], nothing else.... |
|
Chum let me know when my friend I got a spot with your name on it waiting for you. Phes the fulking is crazy, we literally lost count of the non-keepers we brought onto the boat, all my friends are reporting the same thing, if a good day maybe 2-4 keepers and twenty somethig shorts. Shorts that we took home last year. Blues in all sizes are everywhere, bass are here too. The best bite has been the night bite but guys are getting them all day. My favorite eating fish, Kingfish are supposed to be along the beaches and I want to go get them soon. The Raritan Bay is literally loaded with baitfish of every size and kind. Don't ever remember this many pods on top and huge bait balls one after another below. |

I'd hate to meet that crew in a dark alley. Willy, hopefully if everyone is following the rules, next year all 20 you pull in will be legal. |

Man what a slab. Some cool snaggers in those pix. Rich's hat needs some work. You can tell him I said that. I do like his shirt though. Ironic, three dawgs in a boat....and three dawgs in a boat. |

Wow Willy thats a heck of a fish....well done and cograts on getting with you friend brother. Like that Calcutta too. |

Thanks guys, I all ready got him for his day glo hat, notice which hat the captain is wearing right!! Funny thing, my friend Jeff is the one with the 2550 Maycraft pilothouse I fish with all the time, Richie is the one down in Barnegat with the 25 Grady. I fish with both of them a lot but they had never fished together with me. Also a funny thing was when we left the marina Jeff said to me that he has never caught a really big fluke and said that he would love to do it on my new boat, put a little fish voodoo on it. Well that is the biggest fluke he ever caught So the voodoo is on :sun: |

I would have needed a zanex....lolololol anyway congrats to a job well done ...... I hope to use my boat soon seems all work and no play sucks... |

Air looks like good crew there my friend, nice to see you on the site brother. Lumber don't worry she got all mussed up but I sorted her out and flushed her out real each and every time, plus she don't spend a night in the water. Hopefully I can get you up here for some fishing Kenny, you can vent all your dirty deeds on her. She actually smiles when you do, just stand in front and look at her, you'll see it. |

Not to trample Willy's post, but yes, I am alive and well. That was my first fishing trip in a very long time, at least for me. Summer time is my busy time. YEs, any of you Snagger's are always welcome to come down and fish. As for the kids, they are a friends. :) |
