V21 wellcraft blown engine for Sell $2800

The V21 is in good shape.
There is one issue, the floor has a soft spot that starts a little after the gas tank cover and ends about 8-10" before the transome.

The stringers are good. The fiberglas is not a major repair. A fiberglass guy can fix it for next to nothing.

I currently have 4 boats and I am looking at 5th one. So I will let the boat go for what I have into it.

I have had 5 V's so I am pretty fimilar with what to look for on these boats. This boat with a good engine would bring $8-$10,000 depending on how you set it up.

You could always rebuild the current engine.

I paid $2300
Diesel fuel pickup up the boat $300
Time $200

Total asking price for members $2800 not too be for a 1996 V21 hull

Don't make any lower offers because the won't be considered. I could put an engine on the boat and almost double my money.

Thanks

is no one interested?

What is it rigged for? Or did you gut the rigging?

deshet 07-25-2008 12:31 PM

your 2000 150 johnson should work great.

It has a 1996 Johnson 200 on it now. Nothing has been removed from the boat.

Thanks

Any pics?

deshet 07-25-2008 01:36 PM

I had some pictures up here the other day. The link to the pictures does not work anymore. The other guys up here saw the pictures. It is a good looking boat. You live in suffolk probably within 15 mins of me in Chesapeake it will probably be easier for you to come buy. My wife has the camera and will not be back in town until Wednesday

Thanks

Reckon I could figger a way to mount a short-shaft motor on that puppy?...I think I can...

willy 07-27-2008 12:37 PM

I don't know on that one bud, I would think not. Unless there is some crafty way of using a jackplate or something similar. But 5 inches is a good stretch engine mounting wise.

How 'bout a Jack Plate...lowered for running...raised for tilting?...

Thats what I was going to try until I found a 20" V-20. It will be a high dollar venture though cause you will have to have a hydraulic jack plate.

They make another bracket sort of thing that raises and lowers....I can't remember the name, but they were more than a jack plate.

THEFERMANATOR 07-28-2008 09:54 AM

PORT-A-BRACKET would work to mount the 20" on a 25". That's the one that hangs out about 12" and works like a scissor jack.

Thats what I was trying to remember.....they are real high dollar. Of course, to a man of Reel's means, it is nothing.

deshet 07-29-2008 09:44 AM

I was just thinking a lot of you guys maybe more handy then I am, I need a covered screened deck built. I would be willing to trade my V21 for the work. If anyone is interested let me know.

Thanks,

parishht 07-29-2008 11:03 AM

Hey Lumber, a vacation in Va. Beach and a spare V or a V for Carly instead of the wood boat you were going to build.

spareparts 07-29-2008 01:55 PM

if you guys are trading out, I have a screened in porch that I need closed in, I can offer any number of marine services as well as put you on some low country reds that will smoke your reels

Thanks,

Deshet...if Spartanburg and Virginia Beach were a little closer, I'd take ya up on that...

Does that 21 have a trailer w/it?...

msbhammer 08-03-2008 11:30 PM

This isnt the V21 that was on Ebaya few times, that was brush painted ???

deshet 08-04-2008 12:49 PM

This boat has never been on ebay. Pictures of the boat were on ebay so that I could see the boat. The boat is not brush painted. My standards are high on boats and appearence is very important.

I bit the bullet and the 2004 Johnson 4 stroke is getting installed this week.

I would still be interested in trading the boat, trailer, and 4 stroke for a really nice enclosed deck/ sun room. I could maybe put the right person, with the right experience up in a hotel for a week.

I will be asking $9,000 for the boat/motor/trailer.

Most V21 ones I see are around 10,000 with old 2 stroke power.

let me know if you are interested

Well ya skrued tha pooch for me...what made it so appealing was w/no motor...I's gonna hang the Honda on it...all I wanted to know was trailer?...guess it just wasn't meant to be so thar ya go....I's fixin' to go for yer askin price w/out motor......

deshet 08-04-2008 09:51 PM

reel

I can call the guy and let him know to stop the install. I did not think anyone was interested. If you are serious I will call him tommorow. The boat does not have a trailer. But your V20 trailer will work.

The trailer issue
I bought a trailer from an older guy and promised him use of the trailer as long as I owned it. He has a Grady White that he keeps at his dock. The V21 is sitting on that trailer. But the V21 will come with a 2001 sportsman trailer I owned. I have to keep the best trailer for my personal boat. I currently don't own any junk trailers.

Thanks

Wasnt knocking on your V, I just recall a v21 on ebay that was stolen, salvaged, then

That particuliar boat had been more than just brush painted, it had some serious issues with it. The guy that put it on EBAY had doctored it up to sell it.

reelapeelin 08-10-2008 07:15 AM

Deshet...whenever ya get back from Orlando, lemme know and we'll talk...I am still interested in your 21...

deshet 08-11-2008 09:27 AM

The motor is mounted and getting sea trailed today.
I will have pictures of it up this evening.

Thanks,
