Its not everyday you get to.......
Ride your Police Motor on the deck of a Battle Ship.
But thats what I did today. It was a Clicket or Ticket Campaign Kickoff in Wilmington, NC on the USS North Carolina. http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r...r/100_0159.jpg I had to drive through the snack bar to get up on deck. http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r...r/100_0166.jpg We took 5 motors and the Captain drove his Suburban, it was a 460 mile round trip. http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r...r/100_0170.jpg |
thats cool, its been a long time since I've been aboard the North Carolina, We've got the Yorktown here at Patriots Point, along with the Clamagore, and Laffey. I'm embarrased to say its been 8 years since I toured them. My wife and kids could care less about the ships. I could spend days going over them.

Hey Spare, thanks for reminding me.
About 15 years ago, when my sons where in Boy Scouts, the troop made a trip to the Yorktown and we stayed the weekend on the ship. It was a great trip, while touring teh ships, I had all the scouts looking for the bowling alley, it made all the uptight parents mad, but hey all the kids got to see and learn more than they realized. |
