V20 inboard
I was looking at the 1974 catalog and noticed that an inboard center console model was produced that year . I was wondering if anyone out there has one or has seen one . That would be great with a small diesel . You could run all day on 30-40 gal . I have seen I/O's but not straight inboards . http://www.wellcraftv20.com/gallery/...can0023_Medium

I would like to see one of those also!

Looks a little aft heavy to me.
|
I'd love to see one of those. Looks like a nice ride.
|
at first I thought it was not mounted amidships enough to give the true ride benefits from an inboard but then I realized that they have to have moved the fuel tank forward in the hull to do it.
|
looks awful heavy around back, and I had no idea they made one of these either. i bet they quit making it cause it was too heavy in the stern:oh:
|
My thoughts, exactly. Even with the tank in front of the center console, it looks like it might be a little heavy in the back, especially with a couple burly fishermen sitting behind the console. Move that console to more amidship and I bet it would be sweet.

Sorry to disagree, but......................... It can't be any more tail heavy than an I/O boat!!!
|
It looks like if theyed moved the engine an console forward about 2 feet it would plane out better. Maybe trim tabs were an option, they would have helped. Ive never seen one but Id like too!Sharp looking boat though!

I already run all day on 30 gallons.:sun:
That is an interesting design for the prop. |
