Loose Winshield Frame...
I noticed today that my Windshield frame on the port side is loose. Anybody know how its attached? I think that the bedding under the frame is gone...probably factor in the new enclosure and fishing in rough weather with it...I figure that added stress has worked it loose.
So, do I have to remove the glass by taking the whole frame apart? Thanks |

Re: Loose Winshield Frame...
I hope somebody knows how to take these windsheilds off. My starboard side is loose :( and there is a chunk of gel coat missing under it :( so in order to do a proper repair I need to remove the windsheild.

Re: Loose Winshield Frame...
Airslot, I'm pretty sure ya won't have to disassemble the frame...it should come off as a unit ;) ...

Re: Loose Winshield Frame...
I can't even see a single screw on mine. I can only assume that the mounting screws are installed thru the lower channel and under the glass.

Re: Loose Winshield Frame...
I gues that is the reel question. Are the screw under the glass and into the fiberglass, or are they through the fiberglass into the frame?

Re: Loose Winshield Frame...
Every walk through windshield I have seen has a black plastic strip on the outside base that can be removed to reveal the screws. Redrill, 5200 and screw.
