Fluke today!!
 

Well we went out this morning. It was a little choppy first thing and it layed down later on.

Ran into birds all over the place!! Blues under some and Schoolie Bass under others.

Got a few Fluke also. But it was slow?? I did not even find the Scup??

Water was 55* a bit cool for June. I am hoping things pick up by next week??

nice job MJ, the brute in the cooler looks just like what I hooked up with today. According to my FF, my water temp is 63*...long island sound, which btw was like a skate pond all morn. and afternoon

Those are fluke or "summer flounder", up north here, flounder, otherwise known as "winter flounder" are commonly refered to as "flatties".

Flattie fishing has been slow here too the keeper to throwback ratio is terrible!


BTW if you are going to cover up your boat after each trip you might as well break out the wax! ;D

thats what I said, fluke or summer flounder are the same...,whatever the name or nickname, it's nice to get them on the hook.MJ, '' up north here'', is Long Islands north shore, about 45 miles east of NY city.
