My boat is in the shop...
the canvas shop that is. While I'm out of town for work I'm getting a new enclosure built. I got to see the materials and we went over the plans. Should be done mid week coming up. It's going to be a little brighter blue than I wanted, but then maybe mine was dirty? Went with 40 gauge vinyl for the winders.
There will be no straps as it will be supported by poles front and back. Pics will be up soon, then again, I've got pics to post for my last fishing trip as well. Airslot |

Mine is in the shop as well. Just sitting there with no work done to her. Missed out on some nice weather.
Maybe this week she will be home. :( |

Re: My boat is in the shop...
nice goin' Air, I have poles on the back supports, straps on the front. The poles keep things tight and rigid and when you want to get some sun or just have it out of the way, for whatever reason, she'll tilt backward and out of the way. If you haven't already done so.....get the zippered "boot" for the top ;)

Air: Did you price between Standard Marine and the place in Onley, Which one had the better price and where are you getting you work done.
Looking forward to seeing pictures of it. Turbo |
Re: My boat is in the shop...
Turbo, I went with a canvas top again. I was looking at 4500 - 5500 for what I wanted on the hardtop. I'm having mine done for a really good price. Rodney Banks is doing the work. He should have me done this week. Pics will be coming mid-week.

Slot...ya doin' alum or SS frame...plastic or SS frame-fittings?... ...reason I ask is, if ya go plastic fittings and alum. frame, have him put screws into BOTH side of the fitting...at speed, this will hold better ;) ... ...go ahead, ask me how I know :o ::) ... ...and either way, get the little snap-on plastic stand-offs that keep your new ''glass'' away from fittings and screw-heads... ;) ... |
Re: My boat is in the shop...
Good choice on the 40 gauge ;)
