Hey Airslot...
I noticed your anchor connection in this picture.
I think you posted a close up once before. http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...oatpics013.jpg Can you post it again and do you have any information on it, i.e. what is it called, who made it, etc. For my situation where I only anchor a few times a year, that may be a better option than a pulpit |
Re: Hey Airslot...
My anchor sits in "anchor chocks". Look just like this:

Re: Hey Airslot...
I don't have a pic of mine. Those came from starmarinedepot.com. They were $25 for the set, all new and shiny. I can probably get you a super sweet deal on a slightly used set in the near future. ;D

Re: Hey Airslot...
I have the same setup with my anchor. Amazing how it stays put.

Re: Hey Airslot...
Yes Blue, it will stay put amazingly well, especially if you put something around the hooks and shaft. I usually wrap the chain around the far end of the anchor and throw a half hitch around the shaft and holder. I learned that lesson after bouncing the anchor out of the chocks on one particularly delighful day offshore ;D
